In T/ECS 1387-2023 Construction Standards for Water Supply, Drainage, and Heating Engineering: 16.2.1 The installation of pressure sensor pressure tubes should comply with the following requirements: 1. The installation position of the pressure source component should be located in the stable flow section of the measured medium; 2. The pressure tube should be installed vertically on a straight pipe section and should not be installed near valves or other accessories, in dead water flow areas, or in locations with significant vibration; 3. When installing the pressure source component in horizontal or inclined pipelines, the pressure tube of the liquid pressure sensor should be installed in the lower half of the pipeline, forming an angle of 0~45° with the horizontal centerline of the pipeline, while the pressure tube of the steam pressure sensor should be installed in the upper half of the pipeline, or in the lower half at an angle of 0°~45° with the horizontal centerline; 4. Maintenance valves should be installed on the pressure tubes of both liquid and steam pressure sensors;5. The installation of the liquid pressure sensor’s pressure tube should be carried out simultaneously with the prefabrication and installation of the pipeline;6. When the pressure source component and the temperature source component are installed in the same pipe section, the pressure source component should be installed upstream of the temperature source component; 7. Pressure gauges should not be installed on equipment or pipelines with significant vibration; 8. The installation height of pressure gauges or transmitters measuring low pressure should be consistent with the height of the pressure tapping point. When installing high-pressure pressure gauges near operational positions, they should be more than 1.8m away from the operating surface, or a protective cover should be added to the front of the instrument.
