Founded in 1985, Jixi City Heating Company is actively promoting high-level technological self-reliance and strength. In the era of the Internet of Things, the operational equipment in grassroots heat exchange stations has evolved from various mechanical instruments and manual valves to a smart heating system that utilizes “5G IoT networks” for big data analysis of various digital instruments and remote operation of electromagnetic valves, creating a “smart heating” solution that ensures residents have “warm homes”.

At the end of 2020, Jixi City Heating Company completed the “Technical Plan for the Smart Heating Project in Jixi City” in collaboration with Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., and quickly began comprehensive construction of related components such as “IoT Control Valves”, “IoT Control Valve Control Systems”, and the “Huawei Cloud Data Platform”. Currently, within the 9.68 million square meters of heating area in the central urban area of Jixi City, 176 heating stations have upgraded their control equipment. Through the smart heating system, remote control and big data analysis can significantly enhance work efficiency, reduce labor intensity, achieve precise heating, and provide heating on demand, resulting in energy conservation and emission reduction. During last year’s heating period, a total energy saving of 550,000 GJ was achieved, equivalent to saving 18,800 tons of standard coal, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 52,000 tons, nitrogen oxide emissions by 140 tons, and saving approximately 730,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity.
