Analysis of the community switch networking structure
1. The access layer switches use a hundred megabit to the desktop method, with the uplink using gigabit electrical interfaces connected to the aggregation. The aggregation device is connected to the core switch via gigabit single-mode fiber.2. The core switch (H3C S7506E) is deployed with dual main control and dual power supply devices. It is configured with 48 gigabit optical interfaces and 24 gigabit electrical interfaces.3. BASE authentication requires support for PPPOE authentication method, and community users dial up to the internet via PPPOE.A security firewall device is deployed at the exit to ensure the safety of community users’ internet access; network management software is configured for device management authorization of 200 nodes; authentication and billing software is configured to manage authorization for 3000 users.3. In the first phase of the project: one aggregation switch is placed in each building; in one building, one access switch is placed every 4 floors, with 5 access switches placed in each building.4. In the second phase of the project: one aggregation switch is placed in each building; in one building, one access switch is placed every 4 floors, with 8 (or 7) access switches placed in each building.5. A total of 130 access layer switches, 30 aggregation switches, one core switch, one firewall, one authentication gateway, and one set of management software (including authentication and billing) are used.
