On the 11th, Chip Origin Technology Co., Ltd. released a voluntary disclosure announcement, stating that the company’s orders have experienced explosive growth.
The announcement shows that as of the end of the second quarter of 2025, the company’s order amount reached 3.025 billion yuan, maintaining a high level for seven consecutive quarters. Notably, from early July to September 11 of this year, the newly signed order amount has exceeded 1.205 billion yuan, a significant increase of 85.88% compared to the third quarter of last year.

According to the disclosure, approximately 64% of the new orders are related to AI computing power, primarily focusing on ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) business. For example, in the second quarter, Chip Origin’s ASIC design business signed new orders exceeding 700 million yuan, a staggering increase of over 700% quarter-on-quarter, and a year-on-year increase of as much as 350%; the new orders for mass production business also approached 400 million yuan.
Driven by the AI wave, the demand for customized chips has significantly increased. AI ASICs, with their high energy efficiency, high computing density, and highly customizable features, are becoming the core driving force for growth in the semiconductor industry. Research institution IBS predicts that by 2030, generative AI will account for over 70% of the global semiconductor market share. Against this backdrop, companies like Chip Origin, which have advantages in ASIC customization, are seizing development opportunities.
In addition to the positive news regarding orders, Chip Origin also disclosed plans to acquire the domestic RISC-V CPU IP company, Xinkai Technology. As one of the first domestic RISC-V IP suppliers, Xinkai Technology has developed dozens of IP products and has over 300 authorized customers worldwide, covering multiple fields such as AI, automotive electronics, and the Internet of Things.
Chip Origin pointed out that this acquisition will achieve strategic synergy between AI ASIC and RISC-V technology—the scalability and modularity of RISC-V can enhance the flexibility and differentiated competitiveness of AI computing solutions, further promoting the industrialization of related technologies.
As the customized chip service market rapidly expands, companies that possess core design capabilities and have the ability for large-scale rapid verification and mass production services are expected to gain an advantage in this wave of development.
