On August 21,

the second batch of robots and artificial intelligence

real-world verification activities officially commenced,

with 13 cutting-edge products from 6 companies

debuting at the Chengdu Natural History Museum and

the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding

in two iconic cultural tourism scenarios.

This follows the successful outcomes of the first batch of real-world verifications,

where Chengdu further summarizes verification experiences,

empowering industrial development with more segmented application scenarios

in practical implementations.

During this verification event, the ultra-realistic humanoid service robot Star Motion Q5, co-developed by the Chip Innovation Center and Star Universe Era, along with multiple products from Shiyou Universe (Chengdu) Technology Co., Ltd., underwent rigorous testing in real application environments, facilitating the collection of more human-machine interaction data, accelerating iterative R&D aimed at mass production, and further promoting industrial innovation and development.

“This robot is so cute! Can I shake hands with it?” At the first floor of the Chengdu Natural History Museum, the ultra-realistic humanoid service robot Star Motion Q5, co-developed by the Chip Innovation Center and Star Universe Era, attracted visitors preparing to enter the museum with its agile design and performance. Many took photos and interacted with the robot. A little girl even opened her arms to hug Star Motion Q5, as if she wanted to feel the robot’s “heartbeat“.

As a new generation humanoid service robot, Star Motion Q5 is slender and referred to as ‘little waist beauty’. The entire machine has high degrees of freedom, equipped with 7-axis high-precision humanoid arms, an operational height exceeding 2 meters, and paired with an 11-degree-of-freedom ‘Sprite Hand’, with a response speed of 10 CPS. Its single-hand load capacity can reach 10 kg, enabling complex movements such as squatting and lifting, and it possesses active obstacle avoidance capabilities to avoid obstacles in real-time.

Star Motion Q5 has already completed its debut in Chengdu and has conducted multi-scenario verifications, with extensive application scenarios in tourism guidance and services.

The Chip Innovation Center will continuously improve the functions of the robot training ground and data platform through this real-world verification, accelerating the breakthrough and implementation of core technologies, helping Chengdu seize the high ground in the field of embodied intelligence.

At the verification site of the Chengdu Natural History Museum, in addition to the Porta AI Digital Human Integrated Machine,Shiyou Universe also brought multiple innovative AI products such as the MAS Door Experience, ‘Magic Brush Xiao You’ AI Painting Integrated Machine, and AI Travel Photography Integrated Machine, providing visitors with immersive interactive experiences in digital cultural heritage.

This verification event is not only a showcase of our technological achievements but also a ‘real combat examination’ of product landing effects.
