Central Control Technology: Transforming into an Industrial AI Company

Large models are undoubtedly a current hot technology, and various sectors are leveraging the transformative capabilities brought by large models, rapidly integrating large model services across industries. In the industrial manufacturing sector, driven by large models, there is a continuous increase in digitalization, automation, and intelligence levels, including the deployment of industrial robots, which significantly enhances production efficiency, thus releasing development opportunities for manufacturers surrounding industrial automation and the robotics sector.

Central Control Technology: Transforming into an Industrial AI Company

As one of the leaders in process automation, Central Control Technology has a market value exceeding 40 billion yuan. Facing the unprecedented opportunities brought by large models, it released the first AI time-series large model TPT for the process industry back in June this year.

TPT is based on a generative AI algorithm framework, trained by integrating vast amounts of operational, quality, equipment, and simulation data from various industries, effectively equipping production facilities with a “smart brain” to achieve goals of improving efficiency, stabilizing operations, and increasing profits.

With outstanding model and algorithm capabilities, TPT has achieved online real-time optimization and closed-loop control in industrial sites, enabling cross-device and cross-condition reuse, significantly enhancing modeling efficiency, and providing customers with more intelligent solutions. It has already been applied in multiple industrial scenarios with remarkable results. For instance, a certain chemical group’s caustic soda plant achieved comprehensive process parameter anomaly prediction and warning, greatly improving labor efficiency and reducing accident rates, achieving comprehensive AI-driven equipment maintenance, production control, safety monitoring, and production optimization.

It is worth noting that in the era of generative AI, industrial control technology is also actively transforming towards artificial intelligence, hoping to quickly lead the layout of AI in the industrial sector during its development, integrating AI elements into various products, thus achieving the transformation from a traditional automation company to an industrial AI company.

At the same time, Central Control Technology is accelerating the application of AI technology in the robotics field, vigorously expanding the robotics market. It mainly focuses on the research and application of industrial robots, including improving production efficiency, achieving more precise automation and intelligent production, optimizing resource allocation, reducing costs, and enhancing safety and reliability.

As a crystallization of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, humanoid robots can be widely applied in industries like manufacturing, ports, aerospace, and special operations, with a broad market prospect. Cui Shan, Chairman and President of Central Control Technology, has stated that developing and exploring the application of humanoid robots in industrial scenarios holds significant value for disruptive industry development, potentially replacing human operations in various hazardous operational fields, making the industrial production process safer and more efficient.

Central Control Technology’s AI + robotics technology has been successfully applied in sectors such as petrochemicals, coal, caustic soda, and papermaking, with related products and solutions assisting multiple leading enterprises both domestically and abroad, such as Saudi Aramco, Mitsubishi Chemical, Yangzi Petrochemical, and Huayi, in achieving “safe, efficient, and intelligent” corporate value enhancement. Especially following last year’s collaboration with Saudi Aramco on the smart inspection robot Aramcobot, this year marks Central Control’s first comprehensive global promotion of robotics products as a key strategic business, with total orders expected to increase significantly.

In the humanoid robotics sector, Central Control Technology has invested in the Zhejiang Humanoid Robot Innovation Center to deeply study AI technology, combining industrial scenario needs to achieve the industrialization of humanoid robots and their derivative intelligent robots and core components, cultivating new businesses and technologies in the humanoid robot direction across all industry scenarios, further enhancing comprehensive competitiveness and sustainable development capabilities.

Currently, it has successfully launched the “Navigator No. 1” and “Navigator No. 2 NAVIAI” humanoid robot products, marking a leap forward in the humanoid robot direction, helping the process industry build a “unmanned factory” new future. Through the launch of these new products and new businesses, Central Control Technology not only provides customers with more efficient and intelligent solutions but also promotes technological progress in the fields of industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing, injecting new vitality into the industry’s development.

It is noteworthy that as the process of industrial automation deepens and industrial technology upgrades, entering a new stage of high-quality development, intelligent manufacturing has become the main theme of industrial upgrading, with industrial enterprises increasingly demanding intelligent manufacturing solutions. Meanwhile, the rapid development of cutting-edge technologies such as robotics and artificial intelligence has also brought new growth points to the industry.

Having focused on the process industrial automation sector for over 30 years, Central Control Technology has seized the trends of automation, digitalization, and intelligence development in the industry, demonstrating strong growth in recent years.

From 2017 to 2023, Central Control Technology’s revenue and profit compound annual growth rate reached 30%, and this year it continues to maintain a good growth momentum, with revenue and profit again growing simultaneously. In the first three quarters, revenue was 6.336 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.58%, and net profit was 717 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.36%. Excluding the impact of GDR currency exchange gains and losses, net profit increased by 32% compared to the same period last year.

Not only Central Control Technology but also Inovance Technology in the automation sector has similarly benefited from the development of intelligent manufacturing, growing rapidly like a rocket, which is astonishing. According to disclosed public data, revenue grew from 159 million yuan in 2007 to 30.4 billion yuan in 2023, expanding 191 times during this period, with a compound annual growth rate of 39%. This year, it continues to show steady growth, with revenue of 25.398 billion yuan in the first three quarters, a year-on-year increase of 26.22%.

Finally, as the digital transformation deepens, more and more enterprises are beginning to seek automation, digitalization, and intelligent solutions to improve production efficiency and reduce costs, which will bring far greater market space than traditional control systems. Coupled with the strong support from policy levels for intelligent manufacturing and AI, the field of industrial automation and intelligent manufacturing is expected to welcome broader development space.
