Aixin Micro Launches Ultra-Thin High-Performance SDM Card Module Solutions

As displays become thinner and energy efficiency increasingly important, Aixin Microelectronics has launched the SDM-S and SDM-L modules that can be integrated into stylish all-in-one designs. The Aixin Micro SDM card specification module features a lightweight and compact design, eliminating the need for an outer shell, making it suitable for slim integrated displays and smart display devices adopted by many brand stores.

As a reference design manufacturer for Intel® SDM-L modules, the SDM card specification module launched by Aixin Microelectronics makes a new scalable all-in-one design possible. This module can be integrated into visual IoT applications, such as welcome screens and smart bedside terminals that require high performance but occupy minimal space.

The Aixin Micro SDM-S uses an entry-level processor RK3399 with Atom N4000, measuring 109×60mm; the SDM-L is equipped with Intel’s 7th generation Kaby Lake-U high-performance processor, measuring 110×175mm. The Aixin Micro SDM card specification module is an ideal choice for integrated solutions, significantly benefiting display manufacturers, system integrators, and independent software vendors.

SDM (Smart Display Module) is another unified specification launched by Intel following the open pluggable specification Intel® OPS introduced in 2010, aimed at introducing standardized modules into the highly differentiated media player market. The Aixin Micro SDM-L module is equipped with Intel® Celeron 3865U/Kabylake Core i3-7100U/i5-7200U/7300U/7500U processors, supports DDR4 memory (Max. 32GB), and provides an HDMI video output port, capable of playing 4K 60HZ resolution videos and images, while supporting one gigabit network + one gigabit fiber network to ensure long-distance transmission of industrial network communications.
