SMART SAMB11 is part of the Atmel Smart Connect wireless solution series. It is a power-efficient Bluetooth® SMART (BLE 4.1) system on chip (SoC) that integrates a microcontroller (MCU), transceiver, modem, MAC, PA, TR switch, and power management unit (PMU). This standalone application processor features 256 KB of flash memory and embedded BLE connectivity capabilities. The complete Bluetooth Smart protocol stack is embedded in dedicated ROM, including L2CAP service layer protocol, security manager, attribute protocol (ATT), generic attribute profile (GATT), and generic access profile (GAP). Additionally, it supports many other application profiles such as proximity, thermometer, heart rate, and blood pressure, which are included in the protocol stack.

Atmel’s SMART SAMB11-MR210CA ultra-low power BLE 4.1 module offers a complete Bluetooth Smart application based on the ARM® Cortex®-M0 MCU. The module is based on the Bluetooth low energy (BLE) standard 4.1 SoC ATSAMB11, integrating 256KB flash memory, an integrated MCU, 2.4GHz transceiver and modem, power management unit (PMU), MAC, PA, and TR switch.

The SAMB11-MR210CA module is based on the ARM® Cortex®-M0 32-bit processor and includes SWD interface, 4-channel DMA, power-down detector, power-on reset, and watchdog timer. The module supports Bluetooth BLE4.1 and is certified by: ETSI EN 300 328, EN 300 440 Class 2, FCC CFR47 Part15, ARIB STD-T66, and TELEC.
