ACROVIEW Programmer Supports Nuvoton's Low-Power Microcontroller M483KGCAE

As a leader in the chip programming industry, ACROVIEW Technology has recently launched a new version of its programming software. With this iteration upgrade, ACROVIEW has also disclosed a batch of newly compatible chip models. Notably, the low-power microcontroller M483KGCAE developed by Nuvoton Technology has successfully passed technical adaptation and officially becomes a compatible model for the ACROVIEW AP8000 secure programming tool, further expanding the application scenarios and compatibility of the AP8000.

The M483KGCAE is a high-performance, low-power microcontroller based on the Arm® Cortex®-M4F core with DSP extensions. It operates at speeds up to 192MHz with a dynamic power consumption of 130μA/MHz, providing excellent energy efficiency. The 256KB flash memory supports up to 4 configurable eXecute-Only-Memory regions, while the 128KB RAM offers various retention modes in standby mode. The pre-programmed bootloader provides Secure Boot functionality to check the integrity of the flash memory code. It also includes a One-Time Programmable (OTP) block for product lifecycle management.

The M483KGCAE supports a working voltage of 1.8V to 3.6V and operates in a temperature range of -40℃ to 105℃. It integrates two or three CAN 2.0B interfaces, dual 12-bit 5MSPS ADCs, an image input interface, USB full-speed OTG (no external crystal required in device mode), and up to 8 high-speed UART interfaces. Package types include LQFP64 and LQFP128.

In terms of safety, the host is equipped with an intelligent safety protection circuit that can monitor the chip placement status and circuit connection in real-time. If it detects abnormal conditions such as chip reverse insertion or short circuits, it will immediately trigger a power-off protection mechanism, fully safeguarding the safe operation of the chip and programmer. The host is equipped with a high-speed FPGA chip, significantly enhancing data transmission and processing efficiency, ensuring a smooth and efficient programming process. To enhance user convenience, the back of the host is equipped with an SD card slot, allowing users to store project files generated on the PC to the SD card and insert it into the slot. They can then complete file selection, loading, and programming operations through the physical buttons on the programmer, achieving independent operation without a PC. This design not only reduces dependence on computer hardware configurations but also simplifies the setup process of the working environment, significantly enhancing operational flexibility.In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 adopts a modular design of baseboard and adapter board, effectively expanding the functional boundaries of the host.
