In the field of applied talent cultivation, Teacher Fu Qiongfang is a “light chaser.” She holds the honor of “Outstanding Internet of Things Teacher in Sichuan Province” and has won multiple prestigious awards, including the first prize in the National Digital Teaching Competition and the second prize in the National Teaching Competition for Young Teachers in Electronic Information. The course she leads, “Embedded Systems and Design,” has become a benchmark for provincial-level applied brand courses. From the “Five-Step Flipped” teaching innovation in the classroom to practical education through industry-education collaboration outside the classroom; from meticulous textbook writing to continuous success in competition guidance, she uses her dual-teacher qualities as a pen and educational wisdom as ink, sketching a clear growth path for applied talent cultivation on the canvas of industry-education integration. Today, let us unlock her educational wisdom and see how she synchronizes the classroom with industry and resonates students with the times.

Issue 1
Fu Qiongfang
Associate Professor Fu Qiongfang focuses on the “Embedded Systems and Design” course, precisely aligning with the needs of the Chengdu-Chongqing electronic information industry, constructing a teaching system of “gradient projects + industry-education integration + ideological and political education.” The course has been recognized as a provincial-level applied brand course, and the textbook she edited has been selected as one of the first batch of industry-education integration brand textbooks in the province. This has formed a new replicable model for cultivating embedded talent.

01
Identifying Industry Pain Points
Responding to the Needs of the Times
The electronic information industry in the Chengdu-Chongqing region is booming, and the demand for innovative, applied, and skilled talents is increasingly urgent. However, the three major pain points in traditional teaching—”standardized teaching disconnected from diverse student needs, teaching content lagging behind industry development, and rigid and fragmented integration of ideological and political education”—have become obstacles to talent cultivation.
As a dual-teacher type educator and an outstanding Internet of Things teacher in Sichuan Province, Teacher Fu Qiongfang has been deeply involved in teaching embedded and IoT technologies for many years. Relying on her rich experience in teaching competitions and research projects, she leads her team to precisely align with the “pyramid-shaped” talent needs of the regional industry, positioning the course as an “incubator for industrial talent and a training ground for capability growth.” This approach cultivates both mid-to-high-end innovative talents and skilled technical backbones, achieving a “synchronous resonance between talent cultivation and regional industry.” The textbook she edited, “Principles and Applications of STM32 Embedded Systems,” has also become one of the first batch of applied industry-education integration brand textbooks in Sichuan Province, providing solid content support for course teaching.

02
Innovation Activates Intrinsic Motivation
Precision Teaching Improves Quality and Efficiency
Differentiated teaching design to meet diverse needs. Abandoning the “one-size-fits-all” teaching model, the course collects data on students’ interests, hobbies, and career plans to precisely match job requirements. It innovatively designs roles such as product managers, interaction designers, and solution presenters for non-technical positions, upgrading the course from “pure technical training” to a “capability growth platform.” This approach meets the professional deepening needs of technically oriented students while also accommodating the comprehensive ability development of non-technically oriented students, allowing every student to find their growth coordinates.

Flipped Classroom + Digital Empowerment, Creating a New Interactive Ecosystem. Implementing the “self-study assessment → discussion and explanation → collaborative exploration → passing test → summary and expansion” five-step flipped teaching method, combined with information technology tools such as Rain Classroom and Classroom Platform, constructs a full-process closed loop of online autonomous learning before class, precise interaction during class, and project expansion after class. Diverse interactive forms such as random roll call, bullet screen interaction, and submission sharing have achieved a 100% classroom participation rate, with the objective question accuracy rate maintained above 95%. Teachers can grasp students’ mastery of key and difficult points in real-time, achieving “precise drip irrigation” style teaching.

03
Teaching and Learning Flourish Together
Demonstration and Guidance with Wide Radiation
Significant Educational Outcomes, Comprehensive Student Growth. After the implementation of the course, the classroom atmosphere has been completely revitalized, with a significant increase in student interaction enthusiasm, classroom activity rising by over 40%, and average overall scores improving by 5.9%. 97.5% of students have mastered the engineering project development process, becoming high-quality talents with both technical capabilities and a sense of national responsibility, highly favored by employers.

Remarkable Teaching Achievements, Widely Recognized in the Industry. Teacher Fu Qiongfang and her team have won multiple national and provincial teaching competition awards, including the second prize in the 8th National Teaching Competition for Young Teachers in Electronic Information, the first prize in the first National Digital Teaching Competition, and the third prize in the 10th National University Teaching Innovation Competition. The course has successfully been approved as one of the second batch of applied brand courses in Sichuan Province, becoming a demonstration benchmark for applied talent cultivation.

04
Deeply Cultivating the Path of Education
Original Intention Reflects in the Students
Teacher Fu Qiongfang centers her teaching on student growth, breaking traditional shackles with differentiated design and the five-step flipped teaching method, transforming the classroom into fertile ground for capability growth.

She deeply integrates industry needs into teaching details, using ideological and political education to nurture the soul. This innovative spirit of being rooted in teaching and daring to break through not only revitalizes the course but also embodies the educational responsibility of teachers in the new era, providing a vivid model for applied talent cultivation.
