Understanding Domestic Embedded Operating Systems: Key Insights

For a long time, embedded operating systems have been the foundational software for communication, automobiles, consumer electronics, and aerospace. With the rapid development of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, embedded operating systems are playing an increasingly significant role in intelligent systems. Amidst the turbulent international political and economic environment, domestic embedded operating systems have received high attention from domestic industry research institutions and government departments. This issue focuses on the technology and applications of domestic embedded operating systems, featuring four selected articles: “Design and Implementation of IoT Device Management System”, “Real-time Analysis of SylixOS Large Real-time Operating System”, “Design of an Information Security Protection Framework for Embedded Operating Systems”, and “Method for Verifying the Schedulability of Real-time Tasks in ARINC653”. The 5th issue of this journal in 2021 will also present exciting articles on embedded operating systems.
