Experimental, futuristic, with a hint of classic Bauhaus lines. All are digitally rendered 3D images, with extreme realism in light, material, and structure, often mistaken for real objects. The design elements are derived from internet pop culture. This is the creative style of Muddycap.
Muddycap is a concept designer and digital artist from Seoul, South Korea, known for “only making chairs.” Muddycap uses “chairs” as a medium to integrate internet culture, design history, and personal aesthetics, creating a series of unique chairs, becoming one of the most followed virtual furniture creators today. He is primarily a 3D designer, having previously created tables, lamps, shoes, etc., but later discovered that audiences were most interested in chairs. The materials are not constrained by reality; common materials like stainless steel, artificial leather, plastic, nylon rope, and even balloons can become “chair materials.” Most of them are “concept chairs”—situated between furniture and installation art.
