Entering the Dengfeng Green Power Renewable Energy Co., Ltd., the clean and orderly factory environment is impressive. Garbage trucks shuttle back and forth, loaded with waste collected from various parts of the city, heading to the incinerator to begin their journey of transformation into electrical energy. In the central control room, electronic screens display the entire process of waste treatment and power generation in real-time, with all operational parameters clearly visible.

It is reported that the Dengfeng household waste incineration power generation project is located in Chatinggou Village, Gaocheng Town, and is one of the key projects in Zhengzhou for 2020. The construction unit is Dengfeng Green Power Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. The project covers an area of approximately 85.5 acres and officially commenced operations in December 2021, currently processing 800 tons of household waste daily, with an annual processing capacity of 292,000 tons and an annual power generation of approximately 150 million kWh.

“Our project utilizes a mechanical grate incineration technology independently developed by Green Power, achieving harmlessness, reduction, and resource utilization of household waste. The advanced flue gas purification system ensures that emission standards exceed national requirements, minimizing the environmental impact of emissions while converting the heat generated during incineration into electrical energy, supporting green and low-carbon development. The ash produced from incineration can be comprehensively utilized, such as in the production of eco-friendly bricks or as roadbed material. The leachate, after purification, is used as circulating cooling water for the project and for irrigation and cleaning in the park, achieving zero wastewater discharge,” said a relevant person in charge of Dengfeng Green Power Renewable Energy Co., Ltd.

As of now, the Dengfeng household waste incineration power generation project has incinerated approximately 906,500 tons of household waste and generated about 330 million kWh of electricity. Additionally, the company holds public open days on the 10th and 20th of each month, organizing citizens to visit the park, publicly displaying and explaining the waste incineration power generation process, actively spreading ecological and environmental protection concepts, and raising public awareness of environmental protection. Interested citizens and groups are encouraged to sign up to participate.
