
On June 20, 2025, the Shenzhen Lighting and Display Engineering Industry Association (SLDA) organized a technical review meeting for the group standards “Environmental Reliability Testing Methods for Outdoor LCD Displays” and “Mini LED Indoor Commercial Displays (Revised)” at HaiMuxing (688559), with participation from TCL Huaxing, Skyworth, Aoto, Shenzhen University, and other organizations.

During the meeting, Han Haoli, Vice President of HaiMuxing Group, welcomed the experts and representatives from various enterprises, emphasizing the foundational role of standardization in promoting high-quality industrial development. He expressed hope that the two standards under review would effectively address current market pain points, providing solid technical support for the stable development and large-scale commercial application of the display industry, and he looked forward to the continuous improvement of standards in the display field.

Zhao Fei, Secretary and General of SLDA, then spoke. He first sincerely thanked HaiMuxing for providing venue support for this event and expressed gratitude to all experts and enterprise representatives involved in the standard formulation and review work. He also reviewed the fruitful achievements of SLDA in the field of standardization for ultra-high-definition display industry in recent years, including the release and application of several key standards that fill industry gaps. He particularly mentioned that these achievements are inseparable from the active participation and strong support of member units and technical experts over the years. Technical Review Expert Group Composed of Industry Experts
The meeting invited Dr. Li Guijun, Professor from the School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering at Shenzhen University, Dr. Yin Yongming, Professor from the Materials Department of Shenzhen Beili Moscow University, Pan Xiaoning, Director of the Teaching and Research Office at Shenzhen Information Vocational Technology College, Li Nong, Technical Director and Senior Engineer at Nanjing Luopu Co., Ltd., Xu Yaoling, Technical Director and Senior Engineer at Skyworth Group Shenzhen Skyworth-RGB Electronics Co., Ltd., and Pei Xiaoming, Deputy General Manager and Chief Scientist at Shenzhen Sitang Technology Co., Ltd., along with senior experts from the fields of technology, testing, and standardization to form the technical review expert group, with Li Nong elected as the group leader to preside over the technical review session.
The main representatives of the standard drafting group included TCL Huaxing Optoelectronics, Aoto Electronics, and Huang Weidong, Executive Chairman of the Shenzhen New Display Industry Intellectual Property and Standards Alliance, along with SLDA Chief Engineer Jing Fazhun, and Standard Department Head Wu Chunping, who attended the defense. Representatives from numerous upstream and downstream enterprises in the display industry chain, including Zhouming Technology, Kangxian Yishijie, Youjing Commercial, Jufei Optoelectronics, Zhongchuangxing, Guangdong Kewen, Hisense Visual, Nova Star Cloud, and Lixiang Cultural Creation, participated in the observation.

Core Discussions and Technical Review
During the review meeting, expert group leader Li Nong pointed out that for the standard “Environmental Reliability Testing Methods for Outdoor LCD Displays,” outdoor display devices are exposed to complex and variable environments for extended periods, and their reliability directly affects service life and user experience. TCL Huaxing Optoelectronics proposed the formulation of the group standard “Environmental Reliability Testing Methods for Outdoor LCD Displays,” which scientifically simulates harsh outdoor conditions and constructs a comprehensive testing system covering performance stability verification, potential defect screening, and protection technology optimization. This standard systematically stipulates the relevant criteria for the environmental reliability of outdoor thin-film transistor liquid crystal displays (TFT-LCD displays, referred to as LCD displays), including general testing requirements, testing methods, and qualification determination standards, providing a scientific and unified basis for objectively assessing the environmental adaptability and long-term reliability of outdoor and semi-outdoor LCD displays, which will greatly enhance product quality thresholds and market competitiveness.
Regarding the “Mini LED Indoor Commercial Displays (Revised)” standard, the expert group emphasized that Mini LED technology, with its ultra-high contrast, high brightness, wide color gamut, and long lifespan advantages, shows great potential in the high-end indoor display market. It is reported that SLDA organized nearly 100 leading enterprises in 2020 to formulate the world’s first Mini LED commercial display standard, filling industry gaps; at the same time, this standard is one of the research output results of the national key R&D plan “National Quality Infrastructure System” (NQI) key special project “Mini/Micro LED Direct View Ultra-High Definition Display NQI Key Technology Integration Application Demonstration.” To further enhance the technical advancement and industry applicability of the standard, summarizing the development experience and technical achievements of Mini LED displays in recent years, the association took the lead in organizing the revision of this standard, innovatively focusing on the key performance parameters of Mini LED applications in the indoor commercial display field, providing advanced and high-quality technical guidance for standardizing product design, manufacturing, testing, and acceptance, effectively promoting the large-scale and standardized application of Mini LED technology.
The technical review expert group carefully listened to the detailed reports from the standard drafting group and conducted inquiries and discussions on the standard text paragraph by paragraph and sentence by sentence. After thorough discussions, the expert group unanimously agreed:
