The SY882X series charging case power management chips from Siyuan Semiconductor provide a simplified design approach to meet the needs of different Bluetooth controllers.
The Siyuan SY882X can achieve compatibility with different controller designs on a single chip, enhancing the development speed for customers facing various product projects and optimizing efficiency in product material preparation and production operations. In addition, Siyuan Semiconductor will also meet market demand by launching the Qi-standard compliant 5W wireless charging receiver SoC-SY7100 series.
After more than three years of long-term tracking and analysis, I Love Audio Network found that Siyuan Semiconductor successfully entered the supply chains of well-known brands such as 1MORE, 233621, Amazon, JBL, Meizu, Xiaomi, Motorola, OPPO, OnePlus, Soundcore, Tezo, Baidu, Transsion, and others in 2020. A total of 25 TWS earphones adopted 10 types of power chips from Siyuan Semiconductor. These 11 types of power chips can be roughly divided into three categories: intelligent charging case solutions, lithium battery charging management chips, and input over-voltage protection chips.

1. SY8810
The Siyuan Semiconductor SY8810 uses a QFN-16 package and integrates intelligent battery charge and discharge management functions along with control management functions for the charging case. The battery management functions include: switch-mode lithium battery charging management with a charging current of up to 1A, with an efficiency of up to 93%; built-in NTC temperature protection, which can achieve temperature protection for lithium batteries and segmented charging current adjustment; intelligent path management during simultaneous charge and discharge, prioritizing discharge; 5V boost discharge output current of up to 1A, with DC-DC boost efficiency optimization for TWS earphone applications, achieving 93% efficiency at 0.1A low current output; independent dual outputs ensure safety and reliability during charging of both TWS earphones with intelligent control.
The SY8810 also integrates intelligent control management functions for the charging case, including button control switch and support for HALL sensor detection for opening and closing the charging case; dual independent detection functions for earphones entering and exiting the case; automatic charging output activation when earphones are placed in the case, and automatic output shutdown to standby mode when the earphones are fully charged; multiple LED indicator UI functions supporting 1 to 4 LED light status indicators. The SY8810 greatly simplifies the product design of TWS charging cases, requiring no complex peripheral circuits; just a single chip and simple passive components are needed to achieve TWS charging case product design.

2. SY8803
The Siyuan Semiconductor SY8803 is a high-performance SoC-level chip designed specifically for intelligent TWS earphone charging cases, using a QFN-16 package. The SY8803 ensures high safety and reliability (with an input voltage tolerance of up to 28V and built-in full-function over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit protection functions) and integrates I2C communication control functions. Through the I2C interface, the system’s MCU can read and configure the internal functions of the power supply and the battery management parameters, easily implementing functions such as NTC protection, segmented battery current adjustment, earphone entry and exit detection, and automatic power output activation.

The Siyuan Semiconductor SY8801 chip is designed for TWS earphone charging cases, ensuring safety and high reliability (supporting an input voltage tolerance of 28V and built-in full-function over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit protection functions), while also integrating I2C communication and internal communication isolation functions. Through the I2C interface, the system’s MCU can read and configure the internal functions of the power supply and the battery management parameters, easily implementing functions such as NTC protection, segmented battery current adjustment, earphone entry and exit detection, and automatic power output activation.
The internal communication isolation module integrated in the SY8801 greatly optimizes the functional design of intelligent TWS charging cases, eliminating the need for complex peripheral circuits; the MCU can control the SY8801 through a connection. It can not only charge the earphones but also enable data communication through the power POGO PIN connected to the earphones, achieving functions such as uploading charging case battery status, clearing pairings within the charging case, restoring factory settings, and earphone software upgrades.

The SY7638 features customizable internal parameters, including constant current charging current, LED battery display, key function, and automatic load recognition function, making it convenient for customers to choose.

3. SY8602
The Siyuan Semiconductor SY8602 is a linear charging IC for single-cell lithium batteries with high voltage input, adopting constant current/voltage. The IC can withstand input voltages up to 28V, and to prevent excessive power consumption, the charging function will shut down when the input voltage exceeds 10V over-voltage protection threshold. The high input voltage tolerance of up to 28V eliminates the need for an input over-voltage protection circuit for low-voltage chargers.
The SY8602 internally integrates reverse charging protection circuit, eliminating the need for external isolation diodes. The built-in thermal derating control can intelligently adjust the charging current to enhance the IC’s reliability. The SY8602 is preset with 4.2V/4.35V charging float voltage, and the constant current charging current and cutoff charging current can be set through external resistors, making it especially suitable for portable products and other small lithium battery applications.
