On June 19, Sharp Corporation announced the launch of the new A2 size color e-paper display series ePoster EP-CA22.

The EP-CA22 is equipped with the latest e-paper platform Spectra™ 62 developed by E Ink. By integrating Sharp’s unique color reproduction and image processing technology, the ePoster achieves vibrant color displays and smooth gradient transitions, with text presented clearly. Therefore, the ePoster is suitable for various applications such as advertising and information display in commercial and public spaces, as well as menu boards in restaurants.
The EP-CA22 has a resolution of up to 2160 × 3060 pixels, with a pixel pitch of 0.194 mm, allowing for clear presentation of images and text.
In terms of input interfaces, the device is equipped with two USB Type-C ports, one for data transfer and power supply, and the other solely for power supply. It has a built-in storage space of 16GB, with 14GB available for users to store a large amount of static content.
For network connectivity, the EP-CA22 supports IEEE802.11 a/b/g/n/ac standard wireless LAN (Wi-Fi), and is compatible with Bluetooth 5.2, supporting both GAP and SPP communication protocols, providing good wireless data transmission capabilities.
Regarding power design, the EP-CA22 uses a dedicated AC adapter, supporting AC100V, 50/60Hz power input, and converting it to 9V DC output. The device can maintain display without continuous power supply after setting the image, achieving a “zero power consumption” display state, significantly saving energy. Its operating temperature and image rewriting temperature range are both from 0 to 50℃, suitable for various environments; the humidity tolerance range is from 20% to 80%, ensuring stable operation under common climatic conditions.
Sharp plans to officially launch this product in the Japanese market in late June 2025, with an expected monthly production of 500 units, and the product price has not yet been announced. (Compiled by Display Supply Chain Consultants)
