Renesas Electronics has launched its latest innovative product, the DA14533—a groundbreaking automotive-grade Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) System on Chip (SoC) designed to enhance wireless connectivity in automotive and industrial applications. This advanced chip is suitable for a variety of uses, including tire pressure monitoring, keyless entry systems, wireless sensors, and battery management solutions.
The DA14533 stands out due to its ultra-low power consumption, powered by an integrated DC-DC buck converter. It has an effective operating current of only 3.1mA during transmission, just 2.5mA during reception, and an astonishing 500nA in sleep mode. Therefore, it is highly suitable for devices using small capacity batteries. The DA14533 measures just 3.5 x 3.5 mm, making it compact enough to seamlessly integrate into space-constrained environments while also helping to reduce system costs.
The DA14533 can withstand extreme conditions, having passed AEC-Q100 Grade 2 certification, ensuring reliability in temperature ranges from -40°C to +105°C. It supports Bluetooth Core 5.3, providing advanced security for next-generation systems, enabling fast, secure, and reliable communication.
Renesas further enhances developers’ capabilities with the Bluetooth Low Energy SoC Development Kit Pro, which offers a comprehensive toolkit including a mainboard and sub-boards to simplify the development process.
Renesas’s DA14533 marks a bold step forward in connectivity technology. This SoC combines exceptional efficiency, compact design, and powerful performance, poised to become a new benchmark in automotive and industrial wireless communication.
