The Internet of Things (IoT) is an important component of the new generation of information technology. The IoT industry features a long industrial chain and involves multiple industrial clusters, with applications covering almost all sectors. It is estimated that the scale of the IoT industry is more than 20 times that of the internet industry, and the demand for talent in the IoT technology field will exceed one million annually, indicating a promising employment outlook for the future of IoT. Shenzhou Vocational Education (Technical School) targets market demand and relies on two “Hebei Provincial Key Majors” in electronics and computer science to be the first in the province to offer a major in IoT (Smart Home), collaborating with Qingdao Haier Smart Home Technology Co., Ltd. to establish a smart home training center. Currently, this major is the school’s most promising and distinctive cutting-edge technology program.
Training Objectives
This major aims to train students to master the construction methods of IoT smart home systems, engaging in planning, construction management, installation, debugging, and maintenance of smart home devices, as well as high-end technical talent in smart home control program design.
Courses Offered
The curriculum mainly includes basic electronic technology, electronic and electrical experiments, computer network fundamentals, IoT and smart homes, IoT networking and configuration, smart home structured cabling, smart home system installation and maintenance, and practical training in smart home engineering projects.
School-Enterprise Cooperation
Our school collaborates with Qingdao Haier Smart Home Technology Co., Ltd. to jointly build the IoT (Smart Home Appliance) major, aiming to cultivate mid-to-high skilled talent in the smart home appliance field, working together to create a distinctive professional brand that cultivates high-quality, high-skilled talent with good professional knowledge, practical skills, and professional attitudes for regional economic and social development.Qingdao Haier Smart Home Technology Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Haier Group and an important support for Haier Group’s network strategy, being one of the earliest international enterprises involved in smart home technology in China. Among them, Haier U-home has ranked first in China’s top ten smart home brands for eleven consecutive years and has now grown into a global leading research and manufacturing base for smart home appliances, with business areas covering various aspects of smart homes, smart communities, smart campuses, smart elderly care, and smart cities.
