In the equipment category submissions for the DIC AWARD 2024 International Display Technology Innovation Award, SMC has submitted the “Energy-Saving Type Booster Valve”. For screw-type and piston-type air compressors, typically, every reduction of 0.1 MPa in output pressure can save 7-10% in electricity consumption. Currently, 95% of equipment in panel factories requires pressure below 0.5 MPa, with only 5% needing pressure above 0.5 MPa. The use of SMC’s energy-saving type booster valve can provide localized boosting in areas that require high pressure, reducing the output pressure of air compressors and lowering operational electricity costs. This energy-saving type booster valve positively contributes to saving energy for panel factories, enhancing product competitiveness, and achieving national goals for green and energy-saving development.
