Compared to advanced countries, China’s sensor technology lags behind by 10 years in research and development and 15 years in production technology. In recent years, key laboratories for sensor technology, micron/nano technology, and robotics have been established, laying the groundwork for the sensor industry. Currently, there are 1,688 companies in China engaged in the production and research of sensors.
Domestic sensor manufacturers are heavily investing to increase variety, improve quality, and enhance economic efficiency, aiming to accelerate the industrialization of sensors. They strive to achieve a market share of 70-80% for domestic sensors and instrument components and over 60% for high-end products in the coming years.
