Basic Product Setup
1. To log into the gateway’s configuration page, change the local computer’s network card IP address to 192.168.127.X
The default factory IP address of the MGate 5121 is 192.168.127.254/24
The gateway’s default Ping service is disabled, so the factory IP address cannot be pinged. As shown in the figure below, set the computer’s IP address:

2. Enter the IP address of the MGate 5122 in the browser. The security settings of Google Chrome will display as follows

3. Click to continue accessing

4. The default username for the first login is admin, and the password needs to be set to a new password

5. After setting the new password, log in to the configuration page using the new password

6. After logging in, you can see the device control panel as follows:

7. If you need to set it up, you can enable the Ping function by following the settings on the page below

8. After setting, test the Ping of the gateway’s IP address

9. Set the IP address of the MGate 5122 (it is recommended to set the IP address after configuring the Modbus and CANopen parameters)

10. Set the system time of the MGate 5121 (to facilitate logs corresponding to specific events), and click SAVE to save

CANopen Protocol Setup
1. Click on Protocol Conversion to view the protocol conversion architecture. As shown in the figure below, the MGate 5122 acts as a CANopen Master to read data from slaves and convert it to EIP slave data for the EIP master to read

2. Set the CANopen Master parameters

3. The basic parameters of the CANopen setup page are shown in the figure below. Click ADD to add read/write data commands

4. The command setting parameters are shown in the figure below

5. Set the parameters as shown in the example below

6. Establish a CANopen Master parameter to read 8 Bytes and write 8 Bytes, as shown below

7. Click and save the parameters according to the following three steps

EIP Protocol Setup
1. The EIP protocol parameter settings are as follows

2. Set the size of the EIP slave data

3. Follow the steps below to add the CANopen write data mapping to the EIP output

4. Select the corresponding write command for the CANopen Master

5. Click DONE to save the configuration

6. Next, set the CANopen read data mapping to the EIP input

7. Check the corresponding read command for the CANopen Master

8. Click DONE to save

9. Follow the steps below to save the configuration

10. After completing the above settings, you can see the correspondence of connection1. Click APPLY to save the configuration

SNMP Service Setup
1. The CANopen data read by the gateway can also serve as an SNMP server for the SNMP master to read
In the SNMP Mapping, click ADD TAGS

2. Set it up according to the steps below

3. Check the corresponding read/write data for the CANopen Master

4. Click SAVE to save

5. After setting, follow the steps below to save the configuration


6. After completing the configuration, set the parameters for the gateway to act as an SNMP server
