MediaTek has had a remarkable year, launching its new 5G chip brand “Dimensity” which includes several integrated 5G SoCs, such as Dimensity 1000, Dimensity 1000L, Dimensity 1000 Plus, Dimensity 800, Dimensity 820, Dimensity 720, Dimensity 800U, and last night, it released a brand new “Dimensity 1000C.”
In terms of specifications, the Dimensity 1000C CPU features 4*A77 + 4*A55 @ 2.0GHz, with a Mali-G57 GPU, supporting up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.2 ROM. It is primarily targeted at the US market.
As for mass production and market release, reports indicate that the Dimensity 1000C will debut in the US version of the T-Mobile customized LG VELVET 5G smartphone, starting shipments on September 10, priced at $588. It is worth noting that this LG phone was already released in July this year, with the Korean version featuring the Snapdragon 765G.
