On May 12, the Party branch of the IoT Engineering Department held its May organizational life in the Party member activity room B301, attended by all Party members. The college Party committee secretary, Lu Ling, participated as an ordinary Party member.

The meeting focused on studying relevant content such as “The Eight Regulations Change China” and “The Essence of Style Issues is Party Character Issues,” and organized a study of the “Compilation of Typical Cases for Deepening the Implementation of the Central Eight Regulations – Issue 2,” using typical cases to strengthen warnings and deterrence.

During the meeting, a “Micro Party Class Relay” activity was conducted around the theme. In the discussion session, Party members analyzed and evaluated the collected public opinions and suggestions, proposing several rectification measures. Party branch secretary Luo Song emphasized the need to fully leverage the political core role of the Party organization, leading with key Party member teachers to form subject teams; by establishing a “Party Building + Scientific Research” dual integration mechanism within the team, regularly conducting themed Party Day activities on “Party Members’ Responsibilities in Scientific Research Challenges,” normalizing and deeply integrating Party character education with scientific research, and strengthening the team’s “national team” awareness and collaborative innovation spirit; in talent cultivation, establishing a “Party Member Academic Mentor System,” where Party member teachers pair up to guide students in participating in competitions such as “Internet+” and “Challenge Cup,” cultivating innovative and comprehensive talents; the branch should strengthen its own construction according to the “Seven Strong Standards” and actively apply for the university’s fourth batch of “Party Building Work Sample Branches.”

In the concluding remarks, college Party committee secretary Lu Ling stated that the college Party committee will continue to solicit public opinions, directly face the public for rectification, promptly report on the concentrated rectification situation, and accept public supervision and evaluation.
