Foreign businessmen came to China for an inspection and were amazed to see electric cars running on the road. Their eyes lit up, and they praised the Chinese person beside them:
“Your Chinese technology is incredible! Cars that don’t need fuel, just plug them in and they can run, it’s so advanced!”
Upon hearing this, the Chinese person puffed out their chest proudly, waved their hand, and laughed confidently:
“Hey, electric cars are nothing special! After all, they still need a place to charge! If you want to talk about something truly amazing, it’s our Chinese-made electric meters, oil meters, and water meters!”
The foreign businessman was curious and leaned in to ask:
“Oh? What’s so special about electric and water meters? Aren’t they just for counting?”
The Chinese person lowered their voice, adding a hint of mystery with a “you don’t understand” tone:
“You don’t know this! Our meters, once connected to a device, don’t even need to wait for the power grid to supply electricity, the water pipes to deliver water, or the oil depot to provide oil — they can ‘produce’ it themselves! The electric meter spins faster than the wheels of a car, the oil meter jumps quicker than a heartbeat, and the water meter runs faster than a delivery!”
“Before you know it, they’ll ‘produce’ a pile of bills for you!”
