01 HC-12 Communication Module
1. Introduction
These are two HC-12 wireless communication modules just assembled. The LED can display the number of bytes received. Now let’s go outside to the square to check the communication distance. Its communication baud rate is 9600, let’s see what the corresponding communication distance is in this case.

2. Measurement Results
It is now evening. It is relatively dark and cold outside the main building. I will take a pair of modules to the corridor for testing. The length of this corridor is about 100 meters. One module is placed on the floor while I hold the OLED module and walk forward. It can be seen that during the walk, the OLED displays a steady increase in the data received. Soon, I reach a distance where the effect is normal.
Now I have come to the other side of the main building, approximately 100 meters away from the transmitting module, and the data reception is normal.Walking from the corridor to the stairwell, I found that I can no longer receive the signal.Only by returning to the corridor can I receive data again. This also indicates that radio signals are basically transmitted line-of-sight.Therefore, it is inferred that the signal transmission distance will be further in open outdoor areas.Today’s test will conclude here.

※ Conclusion ※
This article records the preliminary test of the HC-12 communication module distance.
Due to the darkness, testing could only be conducted in the corridor.Wireless data communication is relatively stable within the 100-meter corridor. However, it can only be received in line-of-sight conditions; if I turn to the stairwell, the communication is interrupted.
