Georgetown University Visit Notes - Day 8

On July 26, Saturday, we explored a top university located in Washington D.C. – the historic and academically excellent Georgetown University. During the afternoon free time, the Natural History Museum, Lincoln Memorial, and the Obelisk were great places to visit.

Day 8, July 26

Today, we only visited one school – Georgetown University. The afternoon was free, so it felt like a relaxed day. Upon arriving at Georgetown University, we first attended a lecture in a large auditorium for over half an hour. As soon as I entered the auditorium, I felt that the school’s hardware was excellent, and this was the most attended session, with all seats filled. The auditorium can accommodate about 330 people, so the total number of visitors must have been at least 300. I thought, wow, this school is really popular! After the presentation, I understood why it has such a high reputation. Firstly, its geographical location is particularly good, with many shopping areas and restaurants right outside the school, and nothing is lacking nearby. Additionally, it offers a comprehensive range of programs, with many exchange programs and internship opportunities at large companies, which I believe will greatly benefit students. In terms of sports, the soccer and basketball teams have won many awards, and there is even a dog that skateboards. The lecturer was particularly interesting, so I felt I retained more information from this session than from just wandering around the campus. For me, the downside of this school is that its strongest majors are not related to my interests. Also, the dining halls are quite far apart; walking from one dining hall to another felt like climbing a hundred steps, and I thought I might get roasted, but overall, it still seems like a good school.

The afternoon free time was also quite hot, but despite some regrets, I was overall very happy. The streets of Georgetown are lined with trees blooming with pink flowers, which are beautiful.

Today, we only visited Georgetown University. We left at 8:15 AM and after an hour and a half drive, we arrived at Georgetown. During the lecture, I felt that Georgetown is a relatively traditional and very popular university, with everything that a typical university has. However, during the lecture, there wasn’t anything that particularly impressed me; it felt like a very conventional university. The weather was extremely hot, probably around 35 degrees Celsius, and we went on the campus tour at noon, which was the hottest time. Additionally, there were many people, and the distance was quite far, so we managed to remember everything that was said. Overall, I felt that this university is still very beautiful, with strong programs in international relations and finance. I heard from Wang Bo that this university has a student who chooses to go there every year, which is quite popular. One characteristic of this university is that there aren’t many Black students; the majority are White. We had lunch in the dining hall at Georgetown University, where I saw many Black staff members. The variety and choices of food were quite good, but a few Black staff members seemed to have a bad attitude and were a bit fierce; I don’t know if it was due to the hot weather. In the afternoon, Wang Bo allowed us to have free time, and we could choose to go shopping or visit the Natural History Museum. Since it was too hot outside, and I particularly like animals, I chose to go to the museum. The museum was quite impressive, with many life-sized figures of animals in the mammal exhibition area, many of which I had never heard of before, so I learned a lot. The second floor also had a gem exhibition hall, where many of the gems were natural and very beautiful. Surprisingly, the Natural History Museum even had an exhibition on the evolution of mobile phones, which, according to them, is also related to natural science. Overall, this museum was quite fun.

School Visit Diary July 25

It was a very happy day. Early in the morning, I heard Professor Wang say that we would have half a day of free time in the afternoon. I was instantly motivated. In the morning, we went to Georgetown University, which is located in the city. The reason I say this is because there is a commercial street right outside Georgetown University, with various shops. In the afternoon, many locals go there to buy clothes, shop, and eat. Today, we attended an official lecture, but it did not disappoint me at all, as it was very comprehensive and accurate. Georgetown is known for its arts, sciences, nursing, health, foreign service, and business. Many students choose to double major, which reflects Georgetown’s academic level. Georgetown University has a long history; it was founded in 1751. Although some dormitories and teaching buildings on campus are quite old, the entire campus is filled with a learning atmosphere. By visiting Georgetown’s facilities and programs, one can clearly feel that Georgetown University is very wealthy, mostly due to alumni donations. The admissions officer also mentioned that many superstars come to Georgetown University to give lectures, including some basketball stars, movie stars, and even U.S. presidents. Additionally, Georgetown’s sports were once very glorious, but have declined in recent years. The school now focuses more on basketball. At noon, we had lunch in Georgetown University’s dining hall with many students attending summer school. Most of them were local high school students. I could really feel the difference in academic and physical capabilities. Overall, I left a deep impression of Georgetown, especially its history and facilities. I will definitely consider it in my college selection. In the afternoon, we had a very chill time, bought some clothes, and enjoyed the vibes of American streets. It was another very rewarding day.

Georgetown University:

Georgetown University was founded in 1789 and is the oldest Catholic university. It is a medium-sized research institution with a student-to-faculty ratio of 11:1, averaging 26 students per class. In fact, most classes have about 15-20 students, with only the basic introductory courses being larger. The vast majority of courses are taught by professors rather than TAs.

Georgetown University has over 20,000 students, including 6,800 undergraduates. The school has five undergraduate schools: the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Nursing, the School of Health, the School of Foreign Service, and the School of Business. When applying, students must apply directly to one of these schools, rather than applying to Georgetown as a whole.

The School of Arts and Sciences mainly includes majors in humanities and social sciences, and it strongly supports students pursuing double majors. Most Georgetown students are in this school. The school generally requires students to declare their major by the end of their sophomore year.

Georgetown has a core curriculum that includes required courses in philosophy, theology, math, science, and humanities. As a Catholic school, Georgetown only has two theology requirements. Many interesting-sounding courses can help students fulfill these requirements, such as a course called Hell, which discusses stories about hell and Satan. There is even a course about magic, which sounds very intriguing.

Georgetown University strongly supports students in research, and internship opportunities are excellent. Almost every student will have two to three experiences before graduation. The school has a total of 213 study abroad programs across seven continents, including 57 countries.

Georgetown University is known for its politically related majors and has many excellent resources in this area. The school invites many celebrities to give lectures; it is said that Hillary Clinton is a frequent visitor, and Obama has been here before. Georgetown’s focus on political majors is also reflected in its specialized campus. In addition to the main campus we visited in Georgetown, the university has a Capitol campus, which is close to the White House and has a law school and many politically related majors. The school has a program where students can stay on the main campus for two years and then move to the Capitol campus for two years.

Regarding college applications, Georgetown is not on the Common App and has its own website. The school requires students to submit SAT scores, and not just one score, but all SAT test scores. Admissions officers believe that extracurricular activities are very important; even if there are no flashy competitions, students can include things they are passionate about, such as writing “I enjoy playing video games” in a more sophisticated way to show their dedication, etc.

In terms of housing, students can live on campus for the first three years, but if they want to stay for their fourth year, they need to apply separately. I feel that Georgetown’s dormitories are beautiful; we saw a dorm that looks like a castle and some red-brick buildings, all very classical.

The school has over 200 clubs, and students can easily create their own clubs. There are excellent performing arts organizations, including a drama club, an a cappella group, and even a radio station. Georgetown has a good sports program, with over 30 official D1 sports teams, and there are also sports clubs. In addition to these clubs, there are many excellent community service projects.

The community around the university is also very nice, with many good shops and cafes. In the words of the admissions officer, “Georgetown has everything that college students need or want.” The school also has a great natural environment, and stepping out of the school allows you to immediately enjoy life, which can be said to be perfect.

Georgetown University Visit Notes - Day 8Georgetown University Visit Notes - Day 8

Georgetown left the deepest impression on me with the hot and sunny weather during the school tour. The info session combined with the actual school visit felt too long, completely exposing us to the sun for the entire morning, haha.

However, I still listened seriously to their explanations. Georgetown focuses on core courses, and everyone must complete designated classes to graduate. They cover everything – philosophy, literature, science, etc., and they are all interconnected. Like the admissions office and previous schools emphasized, all classes are interconnected to result in a comprehensive student. It’s quite interesting, like a puzzle; perhaps in the end, you will find that these courses help you develop the same ability: how to connect knowledge from different fields.

Speaking of majors, Georgetown’s business, government, and nursing schools are very strong. But don’t worry too much about which major you want to pursue – you don’t have to declare a major until the end of your sophomore year! In the first two years, you can choose courses freely and explore what you really like. Before the visit, I was anxious about choosing a major, but after hearing many people’s sharing, including seniors, I found it to be more of an exploration process, and you might learn more.

In my opinion, the school’s biggest advantage is its geographical location. The school is located in Washington D.C., just a few blocks away from the White House and Congress. Students studying politics can intern at government agencies and even encounter congressmen during lunch breaks (as the admissions head said). The info session also mentioned that this is a great “classroom with zero distance from the real world.” Perhaps the knowledge learned in the morning can be applied in the White House in the afternoon!

As for general admissions, it is actually similar to other prestigious schools, but there are a few details that this school emphasizes:

– Rigorous classes, upper-level advanced advantage check (high school transcript) – the best that you can through the school. This proves that you need to show the school that you can utilize all academic resources to present your best academic self.

– All tests and all attempts (SAT) – trends. The original meaning is that the school wants to see your progress. This underlying thought can be applied to other admissions aspects.

– Two essays: who are you and stuff & specific to the undergraduate school.

– Alumni interview.

In summary, although I know that I will probably not apply, today I learned about the admissions philosophy and characteristics of the university, and I can slowly summarize the trends and characteristics of different schools. This is determined by their founding background, curriculum system, student structure, geographical location, and other factors. If you want to choose a university that matches you, you should consider the underlying factors and understand why the school has become this way. This process is also a way to understand universities. Do a lot of research!

2025.7.26

Today was very hot. In the morning, we went to Georgetown University. This university is the first Catholic school in the United States. Georgetown is divided into several schools: the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Public Policy, the School of Business, the School of Nursing, the School of Health, and the School of Foreign Service. Each school has many majors, and I think this system is very clear and makes it easier to choose during admissions. Because this school has religious origins, they pay great attention to community service, which I particularly like, as it is very similar to the Duke of Edinburgh project I am currently involved in. During the tour, the guide told us about some highlights of their school, and she also paid special attention to their mascot. Their mascot is called Jack the Bulldog, and it is said that this dog is treated better than people! There are even six people in a club who take turns walking/taking care of it. Speaking of clubs, Georgetown does not fund fraternities like some other schools; their fraternities use their own money. We finished our campus tour under the scorching sun.

In the afternoon, we split into two groups: one group went shopping in Georgetown, while the other group went to visit various classic sites in Washington. My roommate and I decided to join the tourist group with the mindset of making the most of our visit.

We first went to the National Museum of Science and History, which is truly a spectacular museum. Both the exhibits inside and the exterior architecture are beautiful, and I highly recommend visiting! There are many exhibition halls, and my favorite is probably the gems and minerals exhibition, which not only has cool minerals but also gems worn by royalty. After visiting, we headed to the Lincoln Memorial, but the weather was too hot, so we enjoyed the air conditioning at the National Museum of American History.

After resting for a while, we set off again, passing by the Washington Monument and the WWII Memorial, and climbed the stairs to see the famous Lincoln statue. The entire memorial only has his statue, which is even larger than I imagined! We rested for a while waiting for the bus, and then went to eat at a delicious Chinese buffet, ending the day.

This morning, we visited Georgetown University, located in Georgetown, a beautiful town next to Washington. Not only is the town very beautiful, but the university is also very impressive. After learning about the university, I found that it has six colleges. When applying, you must apply directly to one of these colleges, and you cannot double major in another college’s major; you can only apply for a minor. This is one point I find a bit restrictive. The school also has a very strong campus network, with many outstanding alumni, providing a lot of resources and connections. In addition, this school is a religious school. Although students are not required to believe, they are encouraged to learn and understand. In terms of sports, the school has very strong basketball and rowing teams. All varsity teams are D1 level. Finally, although the dining hall is not very outstanding, it is still decent overall (I think Cornell has the best). In the afternoon, we did not visit the school. I chose to explore the streets of Georgetown, which have many shops and dining options. This street is very beautiful and lively, making it very suitable for strolling on sunny days. After walking for an afternoon, my legs were quite sore. Georgetown University is very suitable for those who want to experience both small-town life and big city life. Finally, we headed to Richmond, preparing to visit the University of Richmond tomorrow. The total drive was two hours. On the way, we stopped at a buffet restaurant for a simple dinner.

On July 26, it was sunny to partly cloudy, hotter than the day before. The problem was that I foolishly wore two layers of clothing, and today I really wasn’t thinking clearly.

In the morning, it was just over an hour’s drive to Georgetown University. We started with a lecture followed by a campus tour. The lecture hall was so cold that even wearing two layers of clothing couldn’t keep me warm. However, I must say that this university, located in D.C. (which can be considered the capital), has a dense array of disciplines, all starting with international, including policy, economics, business, etc. The later parts were more ordinary, such as course links and blah blah, and it seems that the nursing program is also quite strong. From what I know, it is much better than abroad in this regard, and it is still a viable option.

After the lecture, we faced the darkest two hours of the day, transitioning from a lecture hall below 10 degrees to 35 degrees outside. Under the blazing sun at 11 AM, we began the campus tour, and I was still wearing two layers of clothing. The reason I didn’t take them off was that I genuinely forgot. To be honest, the campus environment is quite nice, but it was just too hot to pay attention to these details. The dining hall is quite good, but the desserts require three insulin shots to eat. It’s deadly.

In the afternoon, finally, we had our first free time of the trip. My choice was to run to the National Archives to see the Declaration of Independence under extremely dim lighting, then to the Natural History Museum where I had just been ten days ago to take pictures of fossils, and finally to the National History Museum to see Captain America’s shield, Breaking Bad’s uniform, and Sesame Street puppets (I actually don’t know why the National History Museum has these things, but it was a super surprise). Then we headed west to the Lincoln Memorial to meet up for the bus, and I was completely exhausted.

In the evening, we had a decent buffet that combined Chinese and Western cuisine, which was nice. Afterwards, we headed south to Virginia (now I know why it was getting hotter).

I haven’t looked at the photos I took today yet, but I estimate they aren’t great. Well, that’s it.

School Visit Diary 8

Today we visited Georgetown University, with free time in the afternoon.

The bus drove along the road as usual, and an occasional bump made me open my sleepy eyes to look out the window at the familiar scenery of trees, grass, blue sky, and white clouds. Our destination was the capital of the United States, Washington, with another three-hour drive ahead. Crossing the state line, towering skyscrapers came into view. Through the urban traffic, I could vaguely see ancient buildings scattered along the streets. Indeed, it was not much different from my impression of Washington D.C.

Although the overall ranking is not extremely outstanding, Georgetown University is known worldwide for its international relations and political science programs, and it is also a religious school. The campus is filled with very old Romanesque buildings, and the sound of the bell tower often echoes through the quaint campus. During the large official presentation, the speaker explained many majors in detail, which felt quite good. As far as I know, Georgetown has a much higher ratio of graduate and doctoral students compared to undergraduates, and many topics and projects in the humanities and social sciences can be deeply researched and discussed here, making it feel like an academic and political center of the United States and even the world.

After enjoying a sumptuous lunch in Georgetown’s dining hall, we split into two groups to explore the commercial street and the museum, with my group heading to the latter. We later visited the Washington Monument, the WWII Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, and even caught a glimpse of the National Chinese Building and the Pentagon. The weather was hot, but the cloudy sky provided us with a bit of shelter.

Overall, I felt that today was very fulfilling. We didn’t walk much, mainly due to the heat. I have a good impression of Georgetown and will work hard after returning home.

Days prior to this DC trip, we planned out every minute so perfectly: two hours of shopping at Georgetown then an hour of kayaking and visiting the museum afterwards. However, nothing went according to plan. Four hours of walking aimlessly, achieving nothing but a pair of shoes. Waiting in line for 30 mins just to give up, we were devastated that we couldn’t get into BM. That aside though, Georgetown truly is an amazing school. The campus is so perfect: white tiled buildings, a medium sized campus, and commercial space 10 minutes from campus. However, with a ranking of merely 22, the expectation of prospective students is outrageously high. This was the first school we have seen so far that not only requires a SAT score, but also every attempt you have done. Though Georgetown is not an Ivy League, the expectations are somewhat even higher than one. One thing that I took away from this visit is that ranking doesn’t represent everything. Though Georgetown may have a low rank, it doesn’t mean that the quality of its education is anything lower than that of other higher ranking universities. That said, ranking should never be the main factor when deciding on a school.

Today we visited Georgetown University, located in Washington D.C. Since we did not stay in the city center, it took about an hour’s drive to get there. Georgetown has many shops, and you can find almost everything you need here. The streets are also very distinctive and full of life.

Regarding Georgetown University, we participated in the official tour, where the guide took us around the campus and explained the overall situation of the school, including the different majors and which ones are particularly strong. We also learned that Georgetown University is not “test-optional,” meaning that applicants still need to provide standardized test scores, such as SAT or ACT. The entire campus is very beautiful, with buildings that have a historical and artistic atmosphere.

The tour also mentioned that Georgetown has many well-known alumni, including some famous political figures and celebrities, which makes the alumni network very strong and resource-rich, providing many opportunities and support for current students and graduates.

In the afternoon, we had free time in Georgetown. Some people went to the museum, which is also a very good and culturally rich choice. Our group continued to explore various shops, with a wide variety of products and reasonable prices compared to some big cities. Finally, we had dinner at a great Chinese restaurant, with delicious dishes and a great experience. Overall, this day was both fulfilling and relaxing, allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of this top university and its surrounding cultural atmosphere.

This morning, we arrived in Washington D.C. to visit Georgetown University. The campus is filled with blooming flowers and classical statues, and my first impression is that it is very beautiful.

In the official lecture, we learned that Georgetown is a religiously affiliated school with 6,800 undergraduates, of which about 1,600 are freshmen. The school is divided into five different schools, and when applying, you must apply to the specific school you want to enter. The business school is the most popular, and the campus environment is also the best. The School of Arts and Sciences offers over 20 majors, and premed is a concentration rather than a major. There are also unique joint degree programs, such as environmental and sustainable development, public policy, etc. Because it is a religious school, there are two theology classes that must be taken, divided into lower and upper levels.

The student-to-faculty ratio is 11:1, with an average class size of 26 students. 99% of classes are taught by professors, and 99% of classes have fewer than 100 students. The best part is that professors have office hours at least twice a week, making it convenient to seek help. Students can participate in research from their freshman year and work as research assistants for professors.

In terms of employment resources, the school’s career center provides a lot of help, with many internship opportunities, and graduates can continue to use these resources. There are 213 study abroad programs in 57 countries, but many programs require students to learn the local language first.

Regarding housing, students are required to live on campus for three years. The first year, dorms are randomly assigned, but students can use charms to match roommates. Although there is only one dining hall, there are many food stations with a rich variety. After dining in the dining hall, I found it quite good, but the food is mainly Western cuisine. The campus activities are very rich, with over 30 sports teams, most of which are in the highest level leagues, and basketball is particularly strong. The cutest part is that there are dogs specifically for retrieving balls and driving little carts on the court! There are also many club activities, making it easy to find like-minded friends.

In terms of applications, it is important to note that Georgetown is not on the Common App and requires a separate application. If you use the Common App this year, you might mistakenly apply to Georgetown College in Kentucky (which is completely different!). You need to submit all SAT or ACT scores, but the school mainly looks at score trends. You need to write two essays, and there is an alumni interview. In addition to meeting the requirements of teachers and counselors for recommendation letters, other recommenders can also be included.

Overall, Georgetown is truly a great school, with a balanced environment, faculty, and campus life. I feel that spending four years here would be a very happy experience.

Today’s itinerary is particularly exciting because we will visit Georgetown University – a top university located in Washington D.C. The morning sun shines on the streets, adding a touch of vitality to this city filled with political and academic atmosphere.

Georgetown University is a well-known comprehensive university, divided into five schools: Arts and Sciences, Nursing, Health, Foreign Service, and Business. Three of these schools do not require students to take major courses in their freshman and sophomore years, allowing students a high degree of freedom to explore their preferred directions. The lectures at Georgetown University, like many other universities, mentioned that they provide many internship and research opportunities for students. Additionally, Georgetown’s application requirements are quite strict, placing great importance on recommendation letters.

At noon, we had lunch in the school’s dining hall. Although the choices were not abundant, the quality of the food was good, with a variety of salad ingredients and delicious pizza. Perhaps due to the summer school, there were many students and teachers dining in the school cafeteria, so waiting in line to get food was unavoidable.

In the afternoon, I chose to visit several famous attractions in Washington, including the Obelisk, Lincoln Memorial, and the White House. Today’s temperature was higher than in previous days, and walking under the sun felt like being roasted. Unfortunately, there was little shade along the roads around the attractions, and the Obelisk was surrounded by lawns, while there was also a large lawn in front of the White House, making the distance quite long. After three hours of walking under the scorching sun, we were all exhausted. Even more unfortunate was that the prices around the attractions were sky-high; a bottle of mineral water cost $5, and an ice cream was $10.

Overall, today was a very fulfilling day.

Today, we arrived at Georgetown University, a religious university, in the morning. It was particularly hot and humid, and walking around the campus felt like we were about to suffer from heatstroke. When applying to this school, you must submit all test scores; you cannot choose to submit or not submit. The teaching buildings have many murals and sculptures, and there is a very cute mascot, Jack the Bulldog. There is a student club that takes care of Jack, consisting of only six people. According to the senior, getting into this club is harder than getting into the school itself. Georgetown’s fraternities cannot receive funding and must use their own money. If you attend classes at Georgetown University and do not want to involve theology, that’s fine; you only need to take two theology courses.

In fact, my memories of today are mostly from the museum in the afternoon. The National Museum of Natural History contains almost everything you can imagine in the fields of animal and plant evolution, and even has exhibitions related to geology, such as gems and stones. Each exhibition area is particularly large; for example, the ocean marine life exhibition has many huge models hanging from the ceiling, such as whale and shark skeletons, which are quite shocking.

We also visited the Obelisk and the Lincoln Memorial, which are very close to each other, and it takes about 25 minutes to walk from one to the other. However, it was too hot today, and my roommate and I were almost heat-stroked. There were many tourists, and we couldn’t understand why the cafes around here only open from 11 AM to 3 PM…

Today, we visited Georgetown University, which is clearly located in Georgetown. The most significant advantage is that shopping, dining, and living are very convenient, and the environment is also quite good. The business and economics programs are the most famous because being in D.C. allows access to many excellent resources.

Since we only had one university to visit today and the distance was not particularly far, we reserved about five hours for free activities. Some people could choose to see attractions, while others could go shopping. Because it was extremely hot today, I chose to shop. However, when we got off the bus, we saw many shops selling clothes, groceries, and restaurants, making it a bit overwhelming. We initially planned to go to Starbucks because it had air conditioning, but the midday sun was too hot. When we arrived, we found that many people had gone there to cool off, so we had to look for another place to escape the heat. However, I felt that we should shop a bit while we were here, so we went to Lululemon (the brand with the most clothes in our bags). But within twenty minutes, we spent all our money and came out, only to realize we hadn’t cooled off enough in the air conditioning. So we decided to go to Haagen-Dazs to cool off while buying some ice cream. After sitting for a while, I still felt that only buying from Lululemon was a bit of a loss, so we planned to walk around again. As we walked, we ended up at ALO (the second most clothing brand in our bags) and efficiently spent more money.

Today is the eighth day of our school visit, and we arrived in Washington D.C. Just like yesterday, we only visited one university today.

In the morning, we went to Georgetown University, a religious university that is also very beautiful. At this school, we participated in the official visit. The campus has beautiful fountains and magnificent churches. There were many visitors to Georgetown, indicating that this school is very popular. The student guide mentioned that the school has many dormitory buildings, and students can choose their roommates. Students need to fill out a survey about their living habits, and after completing it, the system matches them with people who have similar habits, from which students can choose their roommates. I think this is a particularly good system.

In the afternoon, we had free time, and I chose to explore the commercial street next to Georgetown. I think Georgetown students are really lucky to be able to shop here anytime.

On July 26, Saturday, we visited Georgetown University. Founded in 1789, it is the oldest Catholic and Jesuit university in the United States, located in the northwest of Washington D.C. at the intersection of 37th Street and O Street, surrounded by important political institutions such as the White House and the Capitol. Students actively participate in women’s rights movements, anti-Vietnam War movements, and also use spring break to help impoverished communities outside Washington D.C. Since we only visited Georgetown University today, we had limited free time. Because my life partner and I were quite tired, we did not subjectively want to analyze and plan a detailed yet interesting itinerary for our somewhat boring free time, and instead chose between the two free activity options provided by Wang Bo (visiting the Natural History Museum and then selectively checking out nearby iconic sites like the Obelisk, or shopping on the commercial street next to Georgetown University). Considering the 32-degree heat and our low interest in sightseeing, we chose to shop on the commercial street. (According to the senior’s recommendation, this street has a wide variety of items and is very popular among young consumers, with many trendy shops, niche stores, and popular brands keeping up with emerging markets.) Now I will narrate the entire process of shopping with my life partner and relentless supervisor (omitting details) … In the beginning, when we got off the bus, we felt the aggressive heat and firmly decided to find air conditioning… (omitting 500 words) Overall, we found that when we reached Starbucks, there were no seats available, so we returned to Haagen-Dazs and decided to shop for a while, and then efficiently spent over $1,100 😱😱 (that’s how it went).

Georgetown University is beautiful and exquisite. Located in the affluent and beautiful Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, Georgetown students enjoy convenient living. The community offers a wide variety of products, providing students with many choices for dining, entertainment, and shopping. Georgetown University not only has a beautiful off-campus environment but also boasts a top-notch campus environment. Most buildings are made of white or red bricks, complemented by green trees and blooming flowers, creating a pure and beautiful scene. Walking along the path, you can see many flower beds or trees full of blossoms. Looking up, the sky is a vibrant pink and green, and looking down, there are petals scattered on the ground. Such a beautiful campus is truly enjoyable and relaxing; I consider it one of the best campuses I have ever seen.

Returning to the school, I summarize it as “a beautiful palace in Washington prepared for determined students.” Since Georgetown University has different colleges, students must specify their college when applying and only apply to that college. Although it is possible to transfer colleges later, I believe that each college is quite different and has different standards, and students from different colleges will receive different support and resources at the school. For biomedical students, internship resources are excellent, including collaborations with NIH (National Institutes of Health). Not only biomedical students, but Georgetown also collaborates with many well-known institutions, allowing different students to have great internship opportunities at the school. So if you are a student who knows your preferences, you can carefully choose your favorite programs and take advantage of the internship opportunities provided by the school to develop well.
