The Phoenix Community in Phoenix Street uses “Wutongli, Phoenix Home” as its community brand, focusing on “residents’ needs and community services,” continuously promoting the construction of embedded service facilities. The “Elderly Neighbor Phoenix,” “Joyful Phoenix,” and “Friendly Neighbor Phoenix” provide all-age services, with “Phoenix Home” offering smart assistance and “Micro-network Practical Governance” for in-depth management, ensuring a smooth connection between residents’ needs and community services, truly embedding services into the hearts of the people.
The “Love is Entrusted” summer care class in Phoenix Community, Juyexian, successfully concluded on August 1. As a benchmark project for community embedded services, this session focused on “school-community collaboration + diverse curriculum + psychological support,” providing four weeks of growth companionship for 32 children, effectively addressing the “difficulty in childcare” for dual-income families, achieving a parent satisfaction rate of 100%.
Precise Services: Creating a Breathing Space for Parents
In response to the common dilemma of children being “unattended and unbalanced in learning and play” during the summer, the Phoenix Community, through preliminary research, collaborated with the public welfare brand “Xiaohe Academy” and eight university student volunteers from Qilu Normal University to launch a “1+N” service model (1 academic tutoring + N types of quality courses), revitalizing the idle space of the Party-Mass Service Center to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment for children.
Diverse Curriculum: Balancing Red Education and Fun Practice
The care class focuses on “academic tutoring + interest expansion + safety education,” implementing a 1-to-4 system (1 university student tutors 4 elementary students) for academic support, checking homework completion against each student’s plan and explaining mistakes; 14 “colorful courses” cover knowledge popularization, artistic cultivation, fun reading, and physical exercise, effectively stimulating children’s interest in learning and creative vitality; 13 community practice activities, covering themes like educational toys, traditional cultural experiences, and science magic classes, guide children to understand and serve the community through personal participation, enhancing their sense of social responsibility and practical abilities.
Red Heritage. Relying on the community’s red education base, themed activities like “Passing on the Red Gene” are conducted, immersively learning revolutionary history, with a sense of patriotism quietly taking root; young narrators, with their tender yet earnest voices, vividly introduce the long history and heroic stories of their hometown, Juyexian, to their peers; during the “Half-Monthly Children’s Forum,” children discuss “how to express patriotism through action,” proposing many innocent yet responsible patriotic action plans; collective viewing of red films strengthens ideals and beliefs, learning and promoting revolutionary spirit; learning the spirit of the “Two Bombs and One Satellite,” striving to grow into responsible, hardworking, and innovative pillars of the new era.
Safety Education. In drowning prevention safety education, professional members of the Zebra Emergency Rescue Team become “safety mentors” entering the community, using entertaining methods to help children master drowning prevention knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere; during fire safety popularization activities, children wear firefighter uniforms and heavy protective suits, learning practical fire safety knowledge while deeply understanding the dedication of firefighters, planting the seeds of safety awareness in their hearts.
Scientific Experiments. In the “Science Magic Show” activity, children not only boldly touch the flames but also understand the scientific mysteries behind combustion; they personally experience the “weight” of the invisible atmosphere, solidifying abstract principles from textbooks into unforgettable concrete knowledge through wonder and laughter.
Handicrafts. In the course exploring the oracle bone script, through interactive games and handicrafts (using space clay to mold oracle bone characters), children learn about the evolution of Chinese characters, experiencing the long history of Chinese civilization; non-heritage bamboo weaving art allows children to create patriotic-themed bamboo artworks through weaving colorful bamboo strips, experiencing the charm of non-heritage culture; the hundred-meter scroll painting cultivates teamwork spirit as children co-create a beautiful picture of China; guitar experience classes cover basic guitar knowledge, simple chord playing, and music appreciation; the “Hand-painted Eco-bags” course helps children establish environmental awareness and promote eco-consciousness…
Psychological Support: Building a Strong Growth Defense Line through Family and Community Collaboration
The community innovatively establishes a dual-support system of “academic care + psychological support,” inviting senior family education instructor Zhao Deqiang to provide daily guidance in the “spiritual oxygen bar,” offering parent-child communication guidance and psychological counseling. Additionally, real-time sharing of activity dynamics through parent communication groups and signing of the “Safety Care Agreement” clarifies responsibilities and obligations, achieving transparent management.
Social Response: Small Care Programs Reflect Big People’s Livelihood Warmth
The “Love is Entrusted” project is not only a benefit project but also a microcosm of community governance innovation. The person in charge of the Phoenix Community stated that in the future, they will deepen the “public welfare + sustainability” model, expand school-enterprise cooperation, and create a more distinctive community education brand.
This summer, “Love is Entrusted” empowers children’s growth through diverse services, making “child-friendly” a warm backdrop for the high-quality development of Juyexian.
