As the morning light shone, the school bus slowly entered the campus surrounded by greenery, with children filled with curiosity and anticipation for the unknown, beginning a week-long training journey.This issue focuses on how they encounter AI, engage in dialogue with the future, touch the warmth of technological innovation with their fingertips, and measure the vastness of the stars and the sea with wisdom.

Three Initial Aspirations Illuminate the Path to the Future

The initial aspiration of the practice base to launch the artificial intelligence project: First, to respond to national strategies. In today’s intense global AI competition, cultivating the technological literacy of young people is crucial for national rejuvenation. Longgang District’s proactive layout of AI education is a vivid illustration of implementing the “Science and Education Strengthening the Nation” strategy. Second, to fill regional gaps. As an educational highland in eastern Shenzhen, Longgang District has keenly observed the regional imbalance in artificial intelligence education and aims to provide high-quality AI educational resources to the entire city and even the Greater Bay Area through the base’s radiation effect. Third, to ignite the engine of the future. In the face of the global educational transformation triggered by ChatGPT, the base understands that teaching someone to fish is better than giving them fish. Through AI education, students can transform from passive users to active creators, ensuring they remain competitive in the future.

1. Integrated Curriculum System: Covering large class sizes across the district, embedding AI scenarios into real problem-solving, allowing knowledge to transition from textbooks to life.
2. Dual-Track Curriculum Structure:
“AI Interstellar Exploration”: Wrapping the technical core in a sci-fi narrative, using voice recognition to command robots to transport materials, allowing students to feel the warmth of AI in interstellar rescue and Mars base construction.
“AI Super Engineer”: Disassembling core technology modules such as sensors, servos, and programming, cultivating technical thinking through hands-on practice with Arduino boards.3. Blended Teaching Model: AR/VR technology constructs virtual laboratories, and physical robots validate creative ideas, creating a space for creativity that is visible and tangible.





When Sci-Fi Meets Technical Manuals

In the “AI Interstellar Exploration” class, children transform into interstellar engineers, using intelligent voice commands to control robotic arms to complete ore sampling tasks. Behind this seemingly simple interaction lies the technical secrets of natural language processing and machine vision. Teachers cleverly integrate algorithm principles into the storyline, allowing students to intuitively grasp the operational logic of deep learning models while debugging sensor parameters.
Meanwhile, the “AI Super Engineer” class resembles a hardcore tech workshop. Students start by assembling basic sensors and gradually build an intelligent environmental monitoring station. When the ultrasonic sensor accurately measures distance and the LED light strip flickers with changes in temperature and humidity, the abstract circuit diagram transforms into a vibrant technological light before their eyes. The unique “task-driven + immediate feedback” model makes knowledge acquisition feel like a game, filled with a sense of achievement.
This “learning by doing” model turns knowledge from a cold concept into a powerful tool for problem-solving. As one student said, “Programming is not just about typing code; it’s about conversing with machines!”

This spring’s AI course learning is not only a technical enlightenment but also a rehearsal for the future. As the youth from Shawan and Beimo Yuanshan return to campus with the genes of innovation, the momentum of AI education in Longgang District has quietly brewed in the spring breeze.
