The Xiaomi Xiaoai Bluetooth Speaker Portable Version is a member of the Xiaoai family that has been around for a long time. It is a speaker that can be carried without the constraints of cables. This Bluetooth speaker continues the Xiaomi’s beloved pure white simple design, and its size is very compact, easily held in one hand.

The honeycomb design on the top not only showcases aesthetics but also effectively allows sound to emanate. The shape of the speaker’s sound holes vaguely resembles a petal; overall, there is only one USB port for charging this small Bluetooth speaker. The silicone on the back serves both anti-slip purposes and effectively protects the buttons. There are two buttons here: one for power and the other for voice input. The model of this Bluetooth speaker is MDZ-28-DE, and there are no threaded fastening structures; beneath the silicone, there are only two buttons without other fastening structures.

It was unexpected that the upper and lower shells were bonded so firmly that disassembly had to be done violently.

The lower shell was reduced to a pile of debris, with no special structure; there were only two buttons, and the lower shell was ultrasonically welded to the upper shell, making it very stable.

At the innermost end is a 4-ohm 2-watt speaker, fixed to the outer shell with three screws, ensuring sound can be transmitted through the openings to the outside.

Through disassembly, it can be understood that this product uses adhesive to secure the shell, indicating that it is basically a one-time product; if damaged, it cannot be repaired without damage. In terms of power supply, a protection circuit has been added to prevent high voltage from USB affecting the system. Currently, this is the only green PCB among the Xiaomi products I have disassembled; the previous ones were all black. This product has voice functionality and can be paired with Xiaoai for AI feature experience. It can be said that it is very compact, easy to carry, fully functional, and very affordable.
