The electric drive technology is the heart of new energy vehicles. To create a new electric drive technology brand with solid strength for the public, the Dongfeng Nissan Technical Center team has established a team guided by overseas R&D experts, consisting of over 100 domestic engineers specializing in electric drive R&D for the Chinese market.(The success of N7 R&D is greatly supported by talent👍)
The team innovatively launched the world’s highest 14-in-1 electric drive system, with a height of only 325mm and a weight of just 85kg, yet achieving peak power comparable to a 3.0T engine, realizing the highest power density of 3.06kW/kg in the global multi-in-one field.
High efficiency relies on flat wire motors and SiC technology, uniquely creating electromagnetic efficiency tracking optimization technology and system efficiency optimization control algorithms, with a comprehensive efficiency exceeding 92.5%; high quietness is achieved by controlling motor noise to 64dB through source noise reduction, enhancing the characteristics of Dongfeng Nissan NEV models.(Mom no longer has to worry about me being disturbed by noise while sleeping in the car🤩)
At the same time, integrating F1/FE racing experience and big data, equipped with the team’s innovative feedforward predictive anti-shake model, anti-motion sickness intelligent algorithm, and 0.0001-second torque response technology, ensuring driving smoothness, allowing motion sickness sufferers to also “not fear electric cars” and travel with peace of mind~(A true blessing for motion sickness sufferers!!)

Technical Center – Electronic Architecture Development Team
To enhance user experience and achieve customer intelligent scene customization functions, meeting the personalized vehicle needs that are frequently updated, the team invited Tier 1 and chip manufacturers to work together at Dongfeng Nissan, deeply understanding the characteristics of chip MCU, Arm architecture, and Linux systems, and conducting in-depth development of the underlying software for core controller chips based on Dongfeng Nissan’s needs, quickly responding to core user demands, ultimately maximizing chip performance to provide reliable safety guarantees,allowing customers to experience smooth vehicle control interactions on the DA.💯
With the help of the Dongfeng Nissan design team, the Lianyou CCM development team, and the SemiDrive chip development team in a collaborative creation model, through relentless efforts, they successfully achieved industry-leading CCM big data storage capabilities. By real-time storing the vehicle’s CAN and Ethernet messages, if there are new issues or historical issues that have occurred, data can be efficiently exported using a USB drive through the DA or accessed through the Dongfeng Nissan cloud to obtain historical vehicle data.

To create a new brand sound system for the N brand cabin, the sound product team traveled across the country to collect unique sounds from various regions as environmental ambient audio resources, striving to create an in-car space filled with natural ambiance.👂 From the hustle and bustle of Chongqing’s mountain city to the vastness of Inner Mongolia’s grasslands, teeming with life. From product definition to interface design, from development testing to final implementation, every step embodies the team’s wisdom and hard work.
Striving for excellence, crafting intelligent cabins with care
Technical Center – Connected Development Team
To meet user demands for intelligent cabins, the connected development team, after selecting the 8295 chip platform, repeatedly refined and debugged, optimizing in milliseconds, conducting thousands to tens of thousands of stress tests, striving to maximize the chip’s performance to provide users with a better experience, ultimately achieving industry-leading computing power performance on the N7👌.
During the N7 development process, the entire cabin OS underwent multiple iterations of testing. After the framework development was completed, the team also invited 12 users for a 4-hour in-depth test covering 30 core tasks, just to validate design value in the most realistic scenarios. In AD HMI design, the team conducted extensive user research and made repeated adjustments based on user feedback.💙
For the intelligent cabin’s “in-car voice function”, the team optimized the existing voice function’s understanding ability by introducing large language models, while repeatedly refining the entire voice software operation chain to identify potential improvement points. Currently, the end-to-end wake-up response speed of the voice functionhas reached 400ms, and the conversion of spoken words into text displayed on the vehicle screen has achieved 700ms!😎
