Appreciation of Tong Yanfang’s Seal Carving Collection “Tong Yanfang Seal Collection”, published by Shanghai Bookstore in 1989. Tong Yanfang was born in Shanghai in 1946, with the courtesy name Yanfang and pseudonyms Baobi Zhai and Aizhu Lu. He is from Ninghai, Zhejiang. He studied under Lai Chusheng. He is currently a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Seal Carving Committee, and Vice President of the Xiling Seal Society, as well as the Director of the Appraisal and Collection Research Office. He is a full-time painter at the Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy and a national first-class artist. His publications include “Seal Carving Series: Knife Techniques”, “Mr. Wu Changshuo’s Seal Techniques, Chapter Techniques, Knife Techniques”, and “Mr. Lai Chusheng’s Calligraphy and Seal Carving Art”.
