Since 2014, we have been designing to provide the powerful features of Raspberry Pi for industrial and embedded applications, and we are amazed and delighted to see the diverse ways our customers are using the Raspberry Pi Compute Module. We are excited to announce that we have expanded the Compute Module 4S product: these industrial boards now come with additional SDRAM options, allowing you to choose from 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB versions in addition to the original 1GB version.
Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4S
The Compute Module 4S is based on the Raspberry Pi 4 architecture. We designed this product for industrial customers migrating from Compute Module 3 or Compute Module 3+ to Compute Module 4S, who wish to maintain the same form factor while gaining stronger computing power and larger memory.
Please consult your authorized distributor to see if our Compute Module 4S Lite variant better suits your needs.
We will continue to produce the Compute Module 4S at least until January 2034, and we have also created a transition document to help users migrate from Compute Module 1, Compute Module 3, or Compute Module 3+ to Compute Module 4S. We also provide a complete product brief and datasheet.

What are the applications of the Compute Module 4S?
iPourIt’s automatic beer tap
Ekora’s medical monitoring device
KUNBUS Revolution Pi
Our industrial customers have used these boards in various fields ranging from electric vehicle charging stations to self-serving beer taps and coffee machines. We have also seen specialized medical monitoring devices built around our Compute Module. One of our market research clients used these modules to develop a system that understands the types of TV programs different demographics prefer, while Kunbus developed an entire industrial product line, Revolution Pi, around our Compute Module.
