Philips EPIQ7 machine starts up with no display on the monitor and touchscreen, control panel buttons light up, and the machine cannot be used normally. (as shown in the video).
Failure Analysis and Handling
1. After the machine starts, although the monitor and touchscreen have no display, the control panel function button lights are on, and the color blood flow mode and freeze functions respond, indicating that the machine has fully started and entered the ultrasound interface but cannot display. Connecting an external monitor to the PC motherboard video port shows normal display, further confirming that the machine has completed startup.
2. The monitor video signal is output from the graphics card inside the PC backend. Initially suspected to be a graphics card failure, but after replacing the graphics card, the machine’s startup phenomenon remains the same, ruling out graphics card failure. To further confirm whether the failure is caused by the PC backend, the ACB board and PRB board were removed, and the front and back connections were disconnected for testing. The test result showed that the machine started with the monitor displaying the PHILIPS logo, although the machine could not fully start, confirming that the PC backend is normal.
3. After reinstalling the ACB board and PRB board, the machine starts normally, displaying and entering the ultrasound interface. It is speculated that the original ACB board and PRB board may have had connection issues. After the machine started normally, it was found that all probe images had bright lines in the same position, indicating a fault in the machine’s front-end transmission and reception section.
4. After logging into the machine’s backend for self-check, the self-check result indicated a fault in the CB channel board, specifically a fault in the front-end ACQ board.
5. After replacing the ACQ board, all probe images are normal.
After replacing the ACQ board, the machine has returned to normal operation.
