[According to a report from the U.S. Next Generation Defense website on August 1] The U.S. Skild AI Company has launched the “Skild Brain” AI system, which is compatible with various robotic systems. This system employs a hierarchical control architecture: a low-frequency controller handles high-level decisions such as navigation and path planning, while a high-frequency controller translates these decisions into fine-tuned actions and joint movements, enabling robots to autonomously respond to complex environments and significantly enhancing their spatial awareness and adaptability. Additionally, the system includes built-in safety constraints to prevent robots from executing dangerous actions, ensuring safe interaction with humans. The company trains its model using general data and then fine-tunes it on target applications to improve reliability, making the “Skild Brain” compatible with humanoid robots and even desktop robotic arms.
