Fan Jiao from Class 2401
Under the overall arrangement of the Youth League Committee in Baijiazhuang Town, Wutai County, Fan Jiao from Class 2401 carried out a month-long service work, assisting the committee in organizing files and establishing an information database, participating in the writing of work summary materials for the town’s Youth League Committee, and sorting work data (such as the number of volunteer activities and the number of youth served); assisting in ensuring the smooth progress of activities; accompanying committee staff to visit villages and collect opinions and suggestions on township work.
Initially, Fan Jiao thought that the work of the town’s Youth League Committee was mostly about “document processing,” but after actual involvement, she found that each task had to consider ensuring that the youth could understand and use it; accustomed to “theoretical learning” during her school years, practice taught her to “start from reality”— for example, when writing work summaries, it is not enough to just pile up data; it is also necessary to reflect the effectiveness of work based on youth feedback; when preparing activities, details such as weather and attendance must be considered in advance. These experiences not only enhanced Fan Jiao’s writing and event organization skills but also helped her find the direction of her own value: compared to planning that is “far in the clouds,” “practically solving real problems” allows me to feel the meaning of growth more.
Fan Jiao stated: This practice was not only an experience of “stepping out of the campus and into the countryside” but also a vivid lesson on “responsibility, growth, and value.” It allowed me to see the development and needs of rural areas and clarified the responsibilities and commitments that youth should have. In the future, I will carry this experience with me, continue to be down-to-earth and grow upwards, and use the knowledge I have learned to contribute more youthful strength to rural development and social progress!
