Offline Training: Building STM32MP1 OpenSTLinux with Buildroot
Course IntroductionThe STM32MP15x series microprocessors adopt a Cortex-A + M architecture, where the A core can run open-source operating systems such as Linux and Android.OpenSTLinux is a mainstream open-source Linux distribution officially released and supported by ST, which is crucial for STM32 embedded software solutions and supports running on the STM32MP1 A7 core. From the OpenSTLinux distribution to generating image packages that support MP1 boot, ST provides support for two build systems: Buildroot and Yocto. This course will show how to easily build the STM32MP1 OpenSTLinux system based on Buildroot.Training Time and LocationOctober 26, 2022, 9:00-18:00 ShanghaiNovember 1, 2022, 9:00-18:00 ShenzhenNovember 4, 2022, 9:00-18:00 BeijingThe specific training location will be notified two weeks before the training.Course ArrangementThis course is mainly divided into two parts: theory and practice. The theoretical part will introduce what Buildroot is, how to configure and use Buildroot, and how to integrate customer applications into Buildroot. The practical part will be based on the STM32MP157D-DK1, sequentially achieving the generation of the Starter Package and compiling customer applications into the filesystem.Teaching Content1) Introduction to Buildroot2) Compilation and Configuration3) Filesystem4) Toolchain5) Application IntegrationExperimental PartCompile and generate MP1 Starter Package based on Buildroot;Integrate customer applications into the filesystem.Experimental PlatformSTM32MP1-DK1 development board kit (development board, Type-C power cable, USB to serial port);Preparation Before Experiment (Please Note)To ensure the smooth progress of the experimental course, please prepare in advance:1) STM32MP1-DK1 development board kit: STM32MP157D-DK1 development board (provided by ST), Type-C power cable, USB to serial port2) PC (BIOS permissions must be enabled in advance)3) USB to Type-C cable (for programming and downloading)4) USB Hub (to prevent insufficient computer ports, at least 3 USB ports needed, excluding mouse)Target Audience of Offline Training:Software and hardware engineers currently or soon to be using ST MPU,FAEs from ST distributors.Basic Information about Offline Technical Training Courses:Our technical courses mainly focus on practical training for hot applications based on STM32 MP1 series products. The training will be held in Shanghai (specific address to be determined), with training time expected from 9:00 to 18:00, usually lasting 1 day.All training courses we provide are free of charge, and additionally, free working lunch will be provided for participants.
