NVIDIA’s embedded platform by Zhi Neng Technology.
NVIDIA® Jetson™ is NVIDIA’s edge artificial intelligence platform, with its embedded system module (SoM) providing groundbreaking support for autonomous machines and vehicles. Syslogic has adopted this powerful technology in its systems, enabling NVIDIA’s AI technology to function under harsh environmental conditions.
Multiple different chips can be used on this platform, with the main character of the case being AIMobile AIM Edge Ncox, a small passive-cooled embedded system based on NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX. This system features 6-8 Arm cores and an NVIDIA Ampere-level GPU, providing efficient computing power for cameras. The demonstration showcased its 10/100 ports and other I/O interfaces. On the other side of the system, there is a 1GbE port and an HDMI port, demonstrating its flexible connectivity. AIMobile AIM Edge Ncox is a compact module that showcases the innovative design of integrating AI processors into the camera itself.

The large battery at the bottom of the rack is said to be sufficient to power the device for several days, highlighting the advantages of NVIDIA Jetson in low power demands. AIMobile demonstrates its expertise in the embedded systems field, providing intelligent computing capabilities for traffic cameras using NVIDIA Jetson. Such advanced technology will bring more innovations in the future for smart cities and traffic management.
NVIDIA Jetson does not only rely on its intelligent SoM but can also fully enjoy the advantages of NVIDIA’s comprehensive software. The Jetson development kit uses the same software stack as the Jetson module, allowing software development to start from the development kit and then seamlessly transition to production devices. NVIDIA’s Jetson development kits and modules, along with the Jetpack SDK (Software Development Kit), provide everything needed to get started with AI applications, significantly reducing the software development costs of AI solutions.
The development of the Jetson product lineup aims to achieve edge deep learning and inference. This series includes the compact Jetson Nano module, the Jetson TX2 series for AI and computing capabilities, the Jetson Xavier NX module with supercomputer-level capabilities, and the Jetson AGX Xavier series for autonomous machines, robots, and vehicles. The latest member is the NVIDIA® Jetson Orin™ module.
Conclusion:
The NVIDIA Jetson SoM embedded combination is not just used in vehicles.
