1 Features:
HD67165 – A1 and HD67165 – B2 are a Modbus Slave /SNMP converter. It has the following features:
• Read operations can reach up to 1024 bytes, write operations can reach up to 1024 bytes;
• Serial port– power, serial port– Ethernet, power– Ethernet achieve triple isolation;
• Achieve bidirectional information transmission between Modbus bus and SNMP bus;
• Can be installed on a 35mm DIN rail;
• Wide power input range: AC 8…24V or DC 12…35V;
• Wide operating temperature range:-40°C to 85°C (-40°F to +185°F).
Configuration:
You need to install the Compositor SW67165 software on your computer to perform the following operations:
• Define the parameters for the SNMP line;
• Define the parameters for the Modbus line;
• Update the device.

2, New Configuration / Open Configuration:
The “New Configuration” button will create a folder that contains the configuration information for the entire device.
The device configuration can also be imported or exported:
To clone the programmable Modbus Slave /SNMP converter’s configuration to configure another device in the same way, you need to keep this folder and all its contents;
To clone a project to obtain different versions of that project, simply copy the project folder and rename it, then open the new folder using the “Open Configuration” button.

3, Setting Communication:
This section defines the basic communication parameters for the two buses (Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and Modbus).
In the main window (Figure 2), press the “Set Communication” button for SW67165 to pop up the “Set Communication” window (Figure 3).
This window is divided into two parts, one for SNMP and the other for Modbus Slave.
The meaning of the “SNMP” fields is as follows:
In the “IP Address” field, enter the IP address you want to assign to the converter;
In the “Subnet Mask” field, enter the subnet mask;
In the “Gateway” field, enter the default gateway you want to use. You can enable or disable this feature by checking the checkbox field. This feature is used to leave the current network;
In the “SNMP Site Name” field, you can assign a name to the SNMP node.
The meaning of the fields in the “Modbus Slave” section is as follows:
In the “Serial” field, define the serial interface to be used (RS232, RS485 or RS422);
In the “Baud Rate” field, define the baud rate for the serial line;
In the “Parity” field, define the parity method for the serial line;
In the “Device ID” field, define the address for the Modbus end.
