In endoscopes such as bronchoscopy
In recent years, the transition from reusable bronchoscopy
to disposable bronchoscopy
has been accelerating
However, the outbreak of the novel coronavirus
has further increased the demand for disposable bronchoscopes
This module is specifically developed for
single use
ensuring a high level of sterility
and reducing the possibility of secondary contamination
This is crucial for critically ill patients
with novel coronavirus
The module size is only
1.0 x 1.0 x 2.7 mm
allowing use in very narrow spaces
The module uses the so-called
Chip-on-tip method
where the image sensor and
optical system are located at
the tip (distal) of the device
compared to the arrangement of the camera module at the other end
the proximal end, image quality is significantly improved
It is a fully integrated
image processing module
achieving high image quality through wafer-level multi-element
optical system
The module also features a frame rate of up to
49fps
allowing smooth
low-latency display
while maintaining low power consumption
Due to high-sensitivity pixels
the image sensor requires
less illumination
and suppresses
heat generation at the device tip
Additionally, it includes a cable
that can be customized
up to 3 m long according to
user requirements
Using this cable
ensures smooth seamless
integration into endoscope equipment
an LED light source can also be added at the tip
The module is less susceptible to
magnetic interference from
medical equipment (EMI/EMC)
thus eliminating the need for
coaxial cables or
shielded cables
By using this module on disposable
endoscopes, maintenance
reprocessing, and repair costs of commonly used reusable
endoscopes in daily clinical practice can be reduced
and since there is no need for disinfection
it can be used at any time
