A few days ago, I bought a Huawei isolation power supply for 28 yuan, model GDE25S12B, with an input voltage range of 36-75V and an output of 12V25A.

It is quite compact, approximately 59mm in length and about 23mm in width, with exquisite workmanship.

I bought this mainly because I stumbled upon this power module in the Jialichuang community a few days ago, where a blogger named LMY developed PC software based on this module, which supports communication with the module and can read and write a lot of content. If anyone is interested, you can check out this blogger.

Upon closely examining the screenshots from this blogger, I found that the PC software they developed is quite powerful, capable of monitoring input voltage, output voltage, output current, module temperature, input frequency, startup delay, and other parameters; it can also display communication faults and other statuses in real-time;

The key feature is the setting of output voltage in the control panel. This means that this power module can set the output voltage via the PC software. Additionally, it can turn the power output on and off through the PC software. There is also device information and threshold settings displayed on the right side.

This small module power supply used in servers is indeed well-made. I previously posted about a Murata module (original link: Amazing! The 10 Yuan Foreign Junk RBQ Power Module, Incredible PCB Copper Thickness), but the Murata power module requires an external potentiometer to modify the output voltage. The strength of the Huawei power supply lies in the fact that it does not require hardware modifications; instead, it can directly set the voltage, turn the output on and off via the protocol, making it more suitable for use as an adjustable power supply.

The eight gold-plated pads here should be used for communication control interfaces.

Chip silkscreen, those interested can look it up themselves.

From the side, the PCB thickness is 3.2mm. Compared to the Murata power module, the PCB does not have edge wrapping on the side.

I plan to study this module further when I am less busy. Actually, modifying it through the PC software is not very convenient, as it needs to be connected to the PCB. If I could make a baseboard to place the control on, adding buttons, knobs, a digital tube, or an LCD screen, I could create an adjustable power supply. Anyone interested in this diy can try it out themselves.
