Recently, GigaDevice executives stated at the Q3 2025 performance briefing that the company’s niche DRAM products have seen both volume and price increases. The new mass-produced DDR4 8Gb has quickly captured market share, and its sales in the third quarter are now comparable to those of DDR4 4Gb. Next year, the company will achieve mass production of its self-developed LPDDR4X series products and will begin planning the development of LPDDR5X small-capacity products.
In terms of Flash, the company is also benefiting from an improvement in the storage cycle, driven by a continuous demand for NAND Flash in AI infrastructure. NAND Flash is primarily used for storing warm and cold data, with a massive amount of data stored, while the number of erase/write cycles is relatively limited, leading to an increasing demand for NAND Flash.
“Overseas major manufacturers are shifting their focus from 2D NAND to 3D NAND, resulting in a noticeable shortage of 2D NAND. Against this backdrop, the company’s SLC NAND products have started to increase in price,” GigaDevice stated. The company’s NAND Flash products belong to SLC NAND, which has achieved full-category product coverage in consumer electronics, industrial, automotive electronics, and communications. Currently, some overseas manufacturers are shifting their business focus to 3D NAND and withdrawing from 2D NAND, which has caused a supply shortage of 2D NAND. In the future, the company will develop products with higher storage density in the 2D NAND field, but it has no plans for 3D NAND products.

NOR Flash is currently in a relatively mature development stage, with industry growth primarily driven by an increase in code volume. The development of front-end AI has further boosted the demand for NOR Flash capacity, and recent third-party consulting agencies have raised the industry’s CAGR from 5-7% to 8%. It is reported that NOR Flash is also in a mild price increase cycle due to capacity shortages, and GigaDevice is making appropriate price adjustments in response to market demand changes, starting in September.
Additionally, the niche DRAM market is showing a clear supply-demand imbalance. GigaDevice anticipates that the upward price trend is likely to continue in the next two quarters and maintain a relatively high price level in the following quarters of next year.
Over the years, GigaDevice has invested a total of 2.3 billion in Changxin Technology. GigaDevice collaborates with Changxin Technology, whose good development provides strong capacity support for the company’s niche DRAM products. GigaDevice executives stated that looking ahead to the next five years, for the domestic niche DRAM market worth 3-4 billion USD, our goal remains to capture at least one-third of the market share.
GigaDevice also stated that the progress of its customized storage solutions is going smoothly. By the end of the year, several projects will enter the customer sampling and small-batch trial production stages, with mass production of chips expected next year in fields such as automotive cockpits, AIPC, and robotics. In the long term, we firmly believe that this technology route will be widely applied in front-end AI, and in the era of rapid AI development, the market potential for customized storage is enormous. In this field, the company, leveraging its R&D strength and first-mover advantage, is expected to occupy an important position.
