The GD32G5 series MCUs can achieve a performance of 316 DMIPS at the highest frequency, with an impressive CoreMark® score of 694.
The GD32G5 series MCUs are equipped with 256KB to 512KB of embedded Flash, supporting dual Bank Flash functionality; and 128KB of SRAM, which includes 32KB of tightly coupled memory (TCMRAM) for zero-wait execution of critical instructions and data; they also feature high-speed cache space, with up to 2KB I-Cache and 512B D-Cache, further enhancing core processing performance.
Rich Peripherals Enabling Development Innovation
The GD32G5 series MCUs integrate a wide range of peripheral resources. They support 4 12-bit ADCs with a sampling rate of up to 5.3MSPS, with up to 42 channels; they also support 4 12-bit DACs, with 2 achieving a sampling rate of up to 15MSPS; as well as 8 fast comparators (COMP) and other high-precision analog peripherals to support various motor power control scenarios. The GD32G5 series MCUs are equipped with 16 high-precision timers (HRTimer) with an accuracy of up to 145ps; as well as 3 advanced timers with 8 channels, 2 32-bit general-purpose timers, 5 16-bit general-purpose timers, 2 16-bit basic timers, and 1 low-power timer.
The GD32G5 series microcontrollers provide 5 U(S)ARTs, 4 I2Cs, 3 SPIs, and 1 QSPI, supporting DDR/SDR interfaces up to 200MHz; they are equipped with 3 CAN-FD modules suitable for high-speed communication applications; they also integrate 1 high-performance digital filter (HPDF) supporting 8 Channels/4 Filters, external Σ-Δ modulators; and 4 configurable logic modules (CLA); providing a Trigsel module to support flexible configuration of trigger sources. The entire GD32G5 series supports a wide temperature operating range of -40 to 105℃, meeting the high-temperature requirements of differentiated scenarios such as optical modules, industrial power supplies, and high-speed motor control.
Safety and Reliability Building a Quality Fortress
The GD32G5 series MCUs are equipped with multiple safety features, providing a multi-layered security protection mechanism for the communication process, including support for secure OTA, secure boot, secure debugging, and secure upgrades. They offer 2KB of OTP storage space to ensure that code data cannot be altered, thereby protecting the security and integrity of the device. The Flash/SRAM of this series of MCUs supports ECC verification across the entire area. They include a built-in hardware encryption and decryption module that supports DES, Triple DES, or AES algorithms, ensuring data security during communication. Additionally, the products support a true random number generator (TRNG).
The GD32G5 product series supports system-level IEC 61508 SIL2 functional safety standards, providing a complete Safety Package, including Safety Manual, FMEDA, and self-test libraries, among other functional safety materials. This helps users accurately identify potential safety hazards, providing a solid guarantee for the stability and reliability of industrial applications.
