Hydraulic component working state characterization parameters mainly include pressure, flow, temperature, vibration, noise, torque, and speed, among which the hydraulic parameters of pressure and flow carry the most system state information. The rapid diagnostic instruments for hydraulic systems are primarily based on the detection of hydraulic parameters for fault diagnosis.
The mechanical pressure gauge and volumetric oval gear flow meter, which are widely used for hydraulic system state monitoring, are still commonly used instruments for hydraulic system fault diagnosis. In particular, the mechanical pressure gauge is more widely used in hydraulic system fault diagnosis for two main reasons. First, the pressure parameter carries the most system state information and expresses the most obvious fault characteristics. Second, these instruments are easy to connect, simple to operate, visually intuitive, accurately measurable, portable, and have fewer failures with low prices. Based on these reasons and characteristics, many hydraulic systems of devices are now pre-equipped with pressure gauges at key points that characterize the system state, serving both to monitor the system’s operating state and to provide direct display of faults. Some systems also pre-install testing ports at key points that characterize the system state, allowing for convenient connection to testing instruments when needed for rapid fault diagnosis.
