Recently, the first meeting of the Wuxi Semiconductor Equipment and Key Components Innovation Center Management Committee was held. Cui Rongguo, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and District Party Secretary of Wuxi High-tech Zone, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. District leaders Gu Guodong, Li Guilin, Hu Yidong, President of the Municipal Industrial Research Institute, and Chen Fuping, Chairman of the Wuxi Semiconductor Equipment and Key Components Innovation Center, also participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, the list of members of the Innovation Center Management Committee was announced, the candidate for the committee director was clarified, a report on the preliminary work of the Innovation Center was heard, relevant projects were discussed, and the work plan and financial budget for 2025 were reviewed.

It has promoted the formal landing of five key projects and has a certain stock of projects, initially establishing a full lifecycle innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem from technology research to commercialization, playing an important role in strengthening, supplementing, and extending the integrated circuit industry chain in our district.

Clearly define target pursuits, focusing on the semiconductor equipment and components field, and strive to build a first-class domestic innovation platform and R&D base for semiconductor equipment and components. Ensure effective task implementation, efficiently coordinate resources from the core team, the Municipal Industrial Research Institute, and Wuxi High-tech Zone, and ensure high-quality completion of established tasks, further expanding the scale and strength of the Innovation Center and enhancing its influence in the province and even the country.

Strengthen technological breakthroughs, focus on disruptive innovation, key technology breakthroughs, and domestic substitution projects, actively cultivate innovative teams and high-tech, high-growth potential scientific and technological projects. Cultivate quality projects, ensuring that already landed projects achieve “delivery upon entry, production upon completion,” and coordinate to resolve pain points, bottlenecks, and difficulties in ongoing projects. Support park construction, accelerate the construction of distribution centers, and help the New Port Integrated Circuit Equipment and Components Industrial Park continue to grow stronger, becoming one of the demonstration and leading high grounds for integrated circuit industry development in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Improve management mechanisms, effectively strengthen full-chain management of talent introduction, project management, resource allocation, etc.; establish a linkage mechanism, create a rapid response channel, and provide timely feedback on progress and needs; improve assessment mechanisms, and better stimulate and mobilize the Innovation Center’s motivation and vitality through scientific, reasonable, and dynamic assessment and evaluation, ensuring high-quality completion of all expected goals.

Provide full-chain, multi-level support in policy support, financial investment, talent cultivation, etc., and work together to promote the Innovation Center to achieve higher-level breakthroughs in key technology breakthroughs, domestic product substitution, and quality project incubation.
The Wuxi Semiconductor Equipment and Key Components Innovation Center focuses on the core areas of semiconductor equipment key components, accelerating the creation of a full lifecycle innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem from “0-1-10-100.” Since its official unveiling last September, various processes have been advancing in an orderly manner, having promoted the formal landing of key projects such as remote plasma sources (RPS), high-purity fluorine material components, semiconductor equipment power supplies, and RTP equipment. The Innovation Center is formed by top domestic industry teams, with the core team having extensive backgrounds in semiconductor manufacturing and equipment industries, rich experience in mass production of semiconductor equipment and domestic components, and cross-regional, cross-national resource integration capabilities.
