On the morning of July 15, the second stop of the Huiyang summer science popularization activity took place in Changbu Village, Xinwei Town, where nearly 50 parent-child families embarked on a technological journey to explore the mysteries of robotics at the Changbu Activity Center. This event was organized by the Huiyang District Science and Technology Association, with co-sponsorship from the Huiyang District Party-Mass Service Center, the Huiyang District New Era Civilization Practice Center, the Xinwei Town Party-Mass Service Center, the Xinwei Town New Era Civilization Practice Institute, and the Changbu Activity Center.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics are among the most prominent cutting-edge fields of technology today. This event closely followed this trend, focusing on the popularization of robotics knowledge. The science popularization instructor first vividly explained the important role of AI technology in daily life and future development, as well as its basic principles, allowing children to realize that technology is not out of reach but is closely integrated into the world around them.
To enhance the experience and bring youth closer to cutting-edge technology, the event featured a variety of interactive practical sessions. In the experience area, the cool control of the “Mecha Master” and the thrilling “robot soccer” competition captivated the children’s attention. They immersed themselves in hands-on operation, experiencing the joy of human-machine collaboration and the excitement of competition. The subsequent hands-on creation session further elevated the atmosphere, as the children transformed into “little engineers” and attempted to complete their own crawling robots under guidance. From assembling parts to debugging, every step was filled with exploration and challenge. When the robots they built successfully “crawled,” the children’s faces were filled with excitement and pride.
The next stop of the Huiyang summer science popularization activity will head to Zhanlong Town, focusing on the inspiring theme of “domestic large aircraft,” leading young people to appreciate the outstanding achievements and future development blueprint of Chinese aviation technology.
