EtherCAT Measurement Terminal Module ELM3002-0205 Enables High Voltage Measurement
High precision and reliable measurement of automotive batteries, generators, and motors, with a maximum voltage of 1000 V
The EtherCAT Measurement Terminal Module ELM3002-0205 is designed for high voltage measurement of batteries, generators, and motors. It supports ±60、±120、±500 and ±1000 V measurement ranges, making it particularly suitable for electric vehicles and renewable energy applications.
In the renewable energy sector, the new ELM3002-0205 supports, for example, improving the efficiency of wind turbines through DC converter control. This requires direct voltage measurement within the 1000 V range on the generator. For instance, in the electric vehicle sector, the rapid global growth in the mass production of high-quality automotive batteries and accumulators also raises similar demands.
The dual-channel measurement terminal module can achieve a maximum sampling rate of 50 ksps per channel through oversampling capabilities. This high sampling rate in high voltage applications allows for deeper insights into potential energy applications. For example, in generator control, it enables faster response times. Moreover, high measurement accuracy can enhance the precision of frequency detection, thereby improving the frequency stability of the power grid. In battery testing applications, a high sampling rate can also help achieve reliable load and quality testing.
ELM3002-0205 is a new member of the ELM3xxx series measurement devices, which currently includes 30 high-precision and industrial-grade EtherCAT terminal modules specifically designed for ultra-high voltage signal acquisition. The measurement terminal module can be integrated into Beckhoff’s extensive EtherCAT terminal module series, forming the foundation for future-oriented automation.
