This system uses R290 refrigerant, allowing the supermarket to significantly reduce its environmental impact, aligning with its long-term sustainability commitment. This transition lowers greenhouse gas emissions, with the total refrigerant charge for the entire system in one store being less than 10 kilograms. It is estimated that CO₂ equivalent emissions can be reduced by approximately 99%. After switching to the AHT R290 water circulation system, Sheng Siong can reduce over 3,300 tons of CO₂ equivalent greenhouse gas emissions in just one store.

In addition to environmental benefits, the new refrigeration system enhances operational efficiency. The integrated design optimizes energy consumption, significantly reducing electricity costs. Furthermore, the independent refrigeration circuits within the system prevent total refrigeration system failures, ensuring product integrity and uninterrupted service.

Externally, heat is expelled through two dry coolers equipped with EC fans, allowing variable speed operation to optimize energy utilization year-round. These two circuits are each equipped with two water pumps to ensure operational reliability. The installation process was quick and efficient, minimizing disruption and allowing Sheng Siong to continue normal operations.
