The exquisite model of the East-West Tower has clear stone textures, and the lifelike statue of Confucius embodies the wisdom and demeanor of the Confucian sage… All of this is thanks to the application of high-precision stereolithography (SLA) and other 3D printing technologies, achieving micron-level detail reproduction. In the design and creation area, designers focus on their computers, using 3D modeling software to transform Minnan cultural elements and intangible cultural heritage symbols into digital models. In the production workshop, advanced 3D printing equipment operates in an orderly manner, with nozzles precisely spraying materials, layer by layer building solid models.
It is understood that 3D printing has broken free from the limitations of traditional molds, helping designers quickly transform ideas into physical models, significantly shortening the cycle from conception to finished product. Especially when designing Buddha statues, ancient building models, or trendy toys, it has overcome the limitations of traditional carving on complex internal structures, achieving designs with hollow and cantilevered features that are highly dynamic.
“In recent years, we have been deeply engaged in cultural digital innovation, conducting 3D scanning and digital modeling of Quanzhou’s intangible cultural heritage such as wood carving and ancient Minnan architecture, allowing traditional patterns and shapes to ‘reborn’ in modern cultural and creative products,” said Zhuang Yunting, founder and general manager of Dayu 3D. The company collaborates with the Quanzhou Museum to create high-precision 3D archives for endangered cultural relics, aiding in cultural preservation; it has developed AR 3D puzzles of “Quanzhou World Heritage Sites” and other cultural tourism integration products, creating a synergy between online and offline, bringing culture to life.

All of this began with founder Zhuang Yunting’s insight into the industry’s potential and her relentless pursuit.
After graduating in 2015, Zhuang Yunting worked at a startup 3D printing company in Quanzhou, mastering the entire process from printing materials and equipment to 3D software design and post-processing, as well as customer development, delivery, and follow-up services. With her professionalism and responsible attitude, she built a good reputation among clients.
“Only through difficulties can courage be revealed.” As the industry developed, Zhuang Yunting noticed that her personal career bottleneck at the company became increasingly apparent. The following year (2016), she resigned and embarked on the path of entrepreneurship. “I wanted to do 3D scanning design and take a differentiated approach, recognizing the enormous potential of 3D printing in personalized cultural creativity and the upgrading of traditional industries, especially in the blue ocean of cultural digital inheritance,” Zhuang Yunting said. “What surprised me the most was that after leaving, many clients actively sought me out for collaboration. I can say that the establishment of this company was supported by the trust and backing of clients.” Years of experience accumulation, control over industry resources, and keen market sensitivity laid a solid foundation for her entrepreneurial journey. However, Zhuang Yunting admitted that the initial stage of entrepreneurship still required overcoming various difficulties.
When asked about the reason for choosing to establish the company in Fengze, Zhuang Yunting stated: “Fengze has a good business environment, coupled with the industrial foundation of ‘the hometown of resin technology’, concentrated sculpture creative talents, and complete supporting services, making it the starting point for Dayu 3D’s dream. The rich cultural industry atmosphere and innovative soil here attract us to take root.”
With a deep understanding of market and technology trends, Dayu 3D continues to explore forward.
