RISC-V Chip Concept Catalytic Events:
Recently, Academician Ni Guangnan of the Chinese Academy of Engineering stated at the 2025 Xuantie RISC-V Ecological Conference that RISC-V, as an open-source and open hardware architecture, is becoming a new engine for the global chip industry transformation, with significant contributions from China. Its open-source model is building a global ecosystem, achieving breakthroughs in AI, IoT, and high-performance computing, attracting global developers to participate.
The RISC-V architecture, as one of the three major instruction set architectures in the world, is rapidly rising due to its advantages of being free and open-source, flexible design, and low power consumption.
• NXP: Completed the design of the first CPU based on RISC-V.
• GigaDevice: A member of the China RISC-V Industry Alliance, MCU products include ARM cores and RISC-V open-source cores.
• Beijing Junzheng: A vice council unit of the China RISC-V Industry Alliance, engaged in CPU R&D based on RISC-V architecture.
• Runhe Software: Launched the RISC-V processor Xuantie C910 integrated with AI computing power, the Pingtouge Yiying 1520.
• Allwinner Technology: Focuses on smart application processor SoC and collaborates with Alibaba Pingtouge to layout the RISC-V ecosystem.
• Runhe Software: Provides customized development and other technical services on demand in ERP business.
• Zhongwei Semiconductor: Developed a high-performance architecture based on RISC-V core.
• Weixin Security: The XS100 chip of the company’s project adopts the RISC-V instruction set.
• Espressif: Released multiple self-developed 32-bit MCU products based on the RISC-V open-source instruction set.
• Neusoft Carrier: Pre-researching key IoT chips, including IoT microprocessor MPU chips based on RISC-V instruction set architecture.
• Zhongke Lanyun: Established to adopt RISC-V instruction set architecture for chip R&D and design.
• Feilixin: The core instructions of its MCU chips are based on improved RISC-V instruction set.
• Guoxin Technology: Started R&D of CPU cores based on the open-source RISC-V architecture instruction set in 2017.
• Chipone: Multiple customer projects based on RISC-V architecture are underway.
• Haoshanghao: Collaborating with Xianji Semiconductor to focus on open-source RISC-V chips, with products being promoted normally.

• China Resources Microelectronics: Products involve ARM and RISC-V architectures.
• Cuiwei Co., Ltd.: The invested Shenzhen Pengxin Technology Co., Ltd. is a domestic high-performance RISC-V solution provider.
• Langke Technology: Developed a domestic RISC-V large model inference server.
• Gotech: Chips based on the RISC-V instruction system achieve heterogeneous multi-core SoC architecture.
