Recently, Counterpoint Research released its global smartphone AP/SoC chip market research report for Q4 2024. The report shows that MediaTek, Apple, Qualcomm, UNISOC, Samsung, and HiSilicon occupy the top six positions, with market shares of 34%, 23%, 21%, 14%, 4%, and 3% respectively, accounting for 99% of the global market share.
In the fiercely competitive smartphone chip market, Chinese companies have achieved an overall share of 51%, with MediaTek maintaining over 30% since Q2 2023; UNISOC has also been making strides, increasing its market share to 14% in Q4.

SC9863A is UNISOC’s first 4G SoC platform supporting artificial intelligence applications, featuring an 8-core 1.6 GHz Arm Cortex-A55 processor architecture, with a 20% performance improvement and a 6-fold increase in AI processing capability, enhancing the intelligent experience of mobile terminals.
T606 utilizes a 12nm process and DynamIQ architecture, balancing performance and power consumption through a combination of two A75 big cores and six A55 small cores, meeting daily multitasking needs.
Other T7280, T7255, T7250, T7255, T7200 also adopt a big.LITTLE architecture and are manufactured using a 12nm process, suitable for high-performance scenarios in the mid-range market.
The Nokia C2 series uses the SC9832E chip, which adapts to entry-level market demands with its high integration and low power consumption characteristics.
The Nubia V70 Max is equipped with the UNISOC T606 processor, manufactured using a 12nm process, featuring two Arm Cortex-A75 CPUs with a frequency of 1.6GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 processors, achieving a balance between performance and energy consumption.
The vivo Y19e debuted in overseas markets, using the UNISOC T7225 processor, equipped with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, priced at only 7999 Indian Rupees (approximately 671 RMB).
The ZTE Axon 60 and Axon 60 Lite entry-level models core feature the UNISOC T616 processor, showcasing exceptional cost-performance, driving brand sales growth in Southeast Asia and Latin America.
The success of UNISOC’s 4G LTE chips lies not only in their technological adaptation to market demands but also in building an ecosystem covering terminal brands, operators, and vertical scenarios. In markets like India and Africa, they have formed significant regional competitive advantages by capturing the low-end market, actively adopting market strategies, and continuously innovating technologically, successfully consolidating and expanding their share in the low-end market.
